Girls, after much discussion, my fiancee and I have decided to move the date up one year, so instead of 2008 we'll be getting married in 2007! Yes..this is good news, but now everything just went into overdrive....but God is able, and so I ask for your prayers:)

I'm glad to hear someone is pushing their date UP instead of back. When exactly is the new date Miss. Bee? You are right about things going into overdrive. Now you really have to get on top of everything.. but dont worry when times get hard the sistahood is always here to have your back. Good luck and happy planning,time will go by sooner than you think.
That's great! Ya know, our original date was May 2007 (two years after the engagement)...a few months later my FH said 'why are we waiting?'. I said 'good question!'. So we choose, December 2006 instead. BBK, I know how you feel, but don't worry because if you start planning at least a year in advance, it's easier (than say trying to plan a wedding in 4 months) A year gives you plenty of time to do whatever needs to be done.

Congrats Bee! I take it your new date is May 5th 2007? If so, you still have time. :-) I know things (plans) are gonna have to move much faster now. But, you can do it and you are certainly in the right place. Congrats again.

Thanks girls. The new date IS May 5 2007....I doing so much now, AND looking for a new car. Since the date change, my FH is really doing his legwork, and we are traveling to Orlando on June 30-July 5 so we can check out venues, and I am alo going to try on some dresses there. The following weekend I'm going to Atlanta to search for dresses while we visit my FH's cousin who plays for the Falcons...Then the following weekend I'll be going to my mom's in Boynton Beach to dress search and update the rest of the family! So after this weekend, I'll be traveling every weekend....Whew! So much to do!

Congrats sis on the upcoming wedding! At least you have a date, We are arguing over the date constantly. We know it will be some Saturday in August or September '09. I want Sept. 26th b/c I love the 26th of anything since I was born on Dec. 26th, the 26th has been my lucky # always.

Well here's an update:
5 days after we met with the coordinator from the Hotel, all of a sudden I get an email from her saying she can't do an 11 o'clock ceremony, the earlies she can do is 5PM for the ceremony and the reception later, which is OKAY...but we foolishly it seems, cancelled our other visit to another Hotel because we fell in love with this hotel and all, and being that we're paying thousands...I hate to feel like I'm settling for something OTHER than what I want...especially since the date I picked is between semesters and I can start my internship on time and uninterrupted
....one lesson we are learning is that you HAVE to be flexible with the date, even if you are 10-12 months away from the date. Other places we've called already have May 5th taken so we're already having to either settle for the 5PM date or choose another date...MY FH emailed her back, and I've called her but she didn't return our calls....I assume she was busy this weekend with events and we went to ATL for the weekend but I will call her tomorrow to see whats up. I hate to think we were bumped for a better offer but we'll get to the bottom of this soon....more details later:) Lots of prayer in the meantime!

I can't believe I missed this topic.I'm happy for you,Bee.I've pushed my date back twice.As of now,I'm back to square one.FH told me not to give up on September 23 (my second date) but I don't see it happening...

Plat- Girl remember, I was born on 9/23 so I'll be rooting for you to do it on that day...its sooooo special....But don't worry and remember that God is a father first, and he will give you your heart's desire IF you believe HE can do it! I am so sorry to be getting back to this topic so late, but I have no choice now but to have crazy radical faith in HIM for myself, so why should I not have the same faith in what He can do for my sistah's?
