Hi,
I'm new to the site, and after visiting several times, finally decided to join. I'm getting married November 8, 2008, and I am having a tough time trying to coordinate my colors. Right now, I would like to use the colors burnt orange, and espresso, or burnt orange, ivory and gold. Need help, I'm having my first meeting with my bridesmaids next month.

Hi,
I'm new to the site, and after visiting several times, finally decided to join. I'm getting married November 8, 2008, and I am having a tough time trying to coordinate my colors. Right now, I would like to use the colors burnt orange, and espresso, or burnt orange, ivory and gold. Need help, I'm having my first meeting with my bridesmaids next month.
I like both color themes but I like the Burnt orange, ivory and gold. I picked that same color theme for my cousin to wear for prom and it goes so nicely together.
Congrats and Welcome!!!!!! Your color palette sounds great I like both colors. All the ladies here on this site are amazing and very helpful. Your big day will be planned and set in no time. Happy Planning!

Welcome to the sisterhood Acreech. I absolutely adore your choice of colors. Whether you choose to go with the burnt orange and expresso or Burnt orange, Ivory and Gold. Although, should you decide to go with the Burnt Orange/Espresso colors, here are some ideas for you.
1. Flowergirl baskets/ringbearer's pillow/etc...
2. Your bouquet
3. Boutonnnieres
4. Possible Cakes
5. Favors
6. Table Decor
7. Table settings
Like I said, just a few ideas to get you going. Congrats on your upcoming wedding. Happy Planning!!!
Welcome acreech, tell us more about your special day. Where do you live? I mean November in LA is different than November in Vermont or Arizona, you know? What are the general skin tones in your bridal party? Will they be wearing the orange or the brown? Give us more details . . .
great options. I love burnt orange and expresso.

Thanks so much for the response, and welcome. Love the photos Ginoue. Musikana, the wedding will take place in South Carolina. I haven't decided on a base color that I want my bridesmaids to wear. I was trying to get a great color scheme going first.
Thanks again for the responses. I probably won't need to hire a wedding consultant....lol
Welcome Acreech. Both sets of color schemes are nice but don't feel you have to keep your scheme to two or three colors. You could incorporate all four colors together and it would look beautiful. Especially for layered looks (invitations, programs, favors, etc) which are very popular now.

Welcome acreech, I agree. I would put both together and use burnt orange, espresso, ivory, and gold. Who told you you were limited to three? I think we originally went with 3 colors (like tiffany blue, white, and silver) but when the samples of the flowers came out (butter, yellows, etc) I used them without hesitation....So definitely work in that scheme of all 4 colors and have fun. The more colors you incorperate within one palatte, the more options you have for dresses, tuxedos, flowers, cake colors, etc. I think the newest trend in weddings are NO TRENDS, INDIVIDUALITY/PERSONALITY, and FUN!
People pay big bucks to incorperate indivdual themes, traditional mixed with casual, or superformal on the beach, etc, etc. So have fun, and happy planning.

Welcome Acreech! We are glad to have you here! I love both color combinations -- you can do so much with them -- as Bumble suggests, you are not limited. Congrats on your upcoming wedding.

Child I started out with four colors, and that's not including the coloring in my flowers.

It's okay to have 4 colors, I do. Mine are Dusty Rose, Merlot, Champagne and Gold
