Okay, another question.. The grandparent of the groom is only the grandmother.. (the grandfather died ) - who escorts the grandmother down the aisle. Is it the best man ? I thought the best man and the groom enter from the side and don't walk down the aisle ? And if the mother and the father of the groom are divorced, who walks the mother down the aisle ?
No set rules in this case. You can set it up where anyone can walk the grandmother down the aisle or the mother who is divorced. It can be a brother (bride or grooms' uncle) that can walk either the mother or the grandmother down. Its not a rule for the best man to do this. Its up to the couple.
Bee, is right...in both cases! Unless you're Jewish, Bride on the left, groom on the right. MsJena, you will soon learn there isn't a such thing as a crazy wedding question. :-) Keep 'em coming!
Since my mother is a widow, she had a special escort--my cousin (who's like a brother to me). I believe my HB's grandma was walked down by her oldest son (according to the pics). This was the order of entry: (Pastor was at the alter); my mom & cousin, his parents, groom, GM, BM, MOH, then me. The grandparents were already seated. No rules...create your own!
I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.

My fh's grandmother is a widow and she will be escorted in by and usher, my parents are seperated and my mom is remarried, my brother will be escorting my mother in and my father will be escorting me in. They all will sit togethor at the wedding ceremony, but will be seated at diffrent tables at the reception. Although my parents have remained good friends, I dont want to make anyone uncomfortable.
I'm here Wifey, Love and Miss you too. I have to start a new blog to explain why I have not been on as much.

From my understanding, you are correct. Not a crazy queston, because my coordinator told me this, and I didn't even know it was even important!

All of the ladies here are correct. One of FH's Bestmen will walk FMIL down the aisle then go directly to FH's side. It's your way.
