Destination Wedding - reception?

My fiance and I has decided to go to Las Vegas to get married (to cut down on stress and money). People have asked us if we are going to have a reception once we get back. I'm a little confused about the proper etiquette and/or rules for having a reception afterwards. Do we register for gifts, should it be a sit-down dinner or just
Hors D'oeuvres and wine?

The type of reception is completely up to you. You can do a extravagant party or a brunch, which ever reflects you and your hubbies personalities.

Living my life like it's GOLDEN!!

You can register for gifts if you sent a formal announcement of the nuptials. Have the same kind of reception you would have had if you had a public wedding if your budget allows. People have had receptions 9 months after their wedding. Have fun and let your friends celebrate your love with you. Remember that the reception is the expensive part of your wedding!
