Diaster - Please give me suggestions guys

Okay I picked out this beautiful Salwar suit in Red and burnt orange silk for my bridesmaids (if you dont' know what this is its an indian formal pant suit) It had gold embriodery and it was so pretty. But my brides maids took a really long time to order and now its gone out of stock - only one of the maids has gotten one so far! I searched for weeks to find that outfit and now I may have to give up on my ethnic (African and East indian/Carribean theme) and just do regular dresses. I don't know what to do and its all I can do to keep from crying. Here is the link for the store where I got the first outfit so you guys can see what its like.

They have others but none of them are the right colors - This store is very inflexible and won't let me mix and match with the other red and gold silk outfit on there. I dont know if anyone else is doing east indian or African ethnic themes for their wedding but if anyone can help me find another outfit - or even a seamstress that i can go to in the Washington DC area I would appreciate it.

The wedding is only four months away - and I am so stressed out with wedding stuff - and I have my step II boards for medical school coming up. I'm trying to hold it together but I'm coming apart at the seams.

Any and all suggestions will be appreciated at this point.

Hi Karen, I'll have to get in touch with a seamstress I know in Clinton (she's worth the trip) and let her know that I'll be pass her number on. My seamtress her in the Bronx said she could do it, but that's a three hour trip. There's also a fabric store in Langley park and the ladies there can make anything you show them.

I'm sorry guys but I have to vent - I'm so discouraged now. I was counting on having a wedding that expressed mine and my FH's culture and heritage. Now the bridesmaids are suggesting stuff from David's Bridal!!!!!!!!! I went to one seamstress and she can do teh outfits but their goign to cost about $300.00 No one in my bridal party has that much money to spend on one dress. I'm about ready to cry.

Well in the three year since I left MD, Denise has taken a break from sewing to raise her new baby. My seamstress can do it, but again, we're in NY. The name of the place in Langley park is Lily Fabrics Jewelry & Bridal (301) 439-8228, 8032 New Hampshire Ave. Hyattsville, MD 20783. This place carries Sarees, Salwars, and lehngas it's called Aanchal Saris (301) 434-3029 8044 New Hampshire Ave Hyattsville, MD 20783. It's all in the same shopping strip. It's at the intersection of University Blvd. and New Hampshire. It can't hurt to call or drop by.
Here are a few websites that carry Salwars;

Ignore your bidesmaids and pick the dress you want. maybe yiou can pay hal on their dresses. Salwars can be worn forever! They will never go out of style. I love them. I only have one but I get compliments on it all the time. I Love Keneesha.com. It is definately my favorite and they have a great range of styles and prices.
