i am wanting to incorporate prayers from the family elders at the reception. each table will also have little notecards asking that guests jot down their well wishes and prayers for us. question re: timing: would it be improper to have the prayers after we re introduced at the reception, but BEFORE our first dance? ...any and all suggestions are welcomed.

Hi Sevan5108,
While I strongly believe in the power of pray, I feel if you do this right after you are introduced will be too much on your guest, especially if they have to wait on you until ur pictures are finished and there are no refreshments being served during the wait.
What you should do is incorporate them throughout the reception...you know spread them out, a little here and there. I think that is a good way to do them without your guest being hungry.
God bless you.
Charlotte wishes you all a beautiful Christmas filled with loads of love, laughter and the true meaning of this blessed season.
This is such a great idea. DO it after the first course and Before the first dance. Try to keep it brief. Just choose a few randomly rather than reading them all. Also, when you are receiving the toasts, people can read some of their cards then.
