Question...why only eight weeks? Are you doing it at the end of October or you only have until the end of October to have it all planned out?
Each One Teach One!
Since it's going to be held in "the country", how about having soul food on the menu. Are there any banquet halls in the area that allow you to bring your own food? Have you checked out places like "VFW or the American Legion? Is anyone in his family a "Mason"? If so, ask them about using the masonic lodge to host your engagement party.
Born Blessed!
My grilfriend has a huge family & had her EP at the local buffet restuarant. She said that she got a really good group rate discount. I don't know how true that is; but you can always check.
Love lights even the darkest of paths.
What Fire doesn't destroy, only makes stronger.
Even when you don't know; God knows. I will be still and let Him do His thing.
Alone in the world; but always in the company of the Lord.
We are doing it at the end of October.

I spent all day scouting places and found two building that will rent to us for 200.00 and they will set up. We can even bring our own food and drinks, they have a full kitchen. I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown because one hotel told me 2500.00 min.
Any suggestions for invitations?
