I am doing two different types of favors. If the favors are going on the table, I would not recommend no more than two. Too many favors in my opinion will give the table a cluttered look.
We are having three total favors. Paper folding fans to match the theme color of the wedding for our guest since the ceremony is outdoors in the evening in Texas, and then gold foil chocolate coins with Adinkra Symbols on them and small organza bags with a bundle of 4" in incense sticks. I think that should be plenty. I am decorating each item with cowrie shells and ribbon.
We guest list is around 35-35 people so that made it easy to spoil those guests who made it a point to travel to share in our day. It was great because we were able to go all out with the menu too!!! Budget is still under $10,000 not including the attire for the Bride and Groom.
So now we are buying prizes for games to be played at the BBQ held the night before the wedding to bring together both sides of our families.
How many favors should a reception have?
