My fiance and I are in the process of looking for an apartment in New York. I am truly amazed at how high rents can be, especially in a decent neighborhood. We are looking for an affordable two bedroom apartment and we figure now is the time to look. Our wedding isn't until 11/06, however, my fiance's lease at his current apartment runs out in 3/06 (He lives out of state). My apartment is too small, and besides we want to begin our lives in "our" apartment. Did it take a long time to find a decent apartment? I don't want to worry, but finding an apartment is a big deal.

I know how you feel we too are still looking for a place. We don't get married until March 2006. And we are going to move to Orlando, Florida which is about a little over an hour from where we are located know. It's hard trying to find something that is nice and does not cost an arm and an leg.
I wish you guys all the best in finding an apartment. I guess we have our work cut out for us. I will just keep looking and remain confident that something will turn up when we need it to.
