I just thought of something that I haven't given too much thought. I think I remember reading a post previously about this, but I'm not sure. My ring bearer will be the last person to walk right before the aisle runner is rolled out. He and the rest of the bridal party will walk down to the same song. Do I need to pick a song for my flower girls to walk too? I don't want my processional music to start until I am ready to walk. Waht are you all doing?

To tell you the truth Bossie, I haven't given it much thought either, but My Flower Girl, Ring Bearer and Bridal party will all be walking in to the same song. My song will be different of course.

I personally do not like it when there is a break during the bridal party entrance - you know where the music is finished while they are walking and they have to start it over....I hate that - so what I am doing is - I will have our very talented organist play Ave Maria for the entire bridal party - when someone is playing you get the consistancy without any interuptions....
Charlotte wishes you all a beautiful Christmas filled with loads of love, laughter and the true meaning of this blessed season.
Bossie, I've never heard of that. I thought the flower girl is supposed to be the last person to walk before you because you are the 1st person that's supposed to walk over the flowers.
I don't like that either Charly...the song that my bridal party is walking to is long enough where it won't end before they reach the alter. After the ring bearer reached the front, the song will fade off. The ushers will roll out the aisle runner and then the flower girls will proceed. Maybe I'll just have my musician play something soft while they walk down
Hey Askalot, love the ticker!!! -- I know it's off the subject but I wanted to say it anyway.

Okay, maybe you did not understand what I said. THE RING BEARER WILL BE THE LAST PERSON TO WALK DOWN THE AISLE RIGHT BEFORE THE AISLE RUNNER IS ROLLED OUT.
I will be the only one walking on the petals.
Thanks Rhony. It doesn't look at elegant to me though. lol
Okay Bossie, you know what I did misunderstand you! And you know I'm still sleepy from last night, so give a sista a break and STOP YELLING AT ME! My plan was to have an instrumental (the sax part from You by Jesse Powell) for the flower girl to walk to and it will fade into my song.
you know I love you askalot. Just messing with you.
And I love you right back!!! Do you have song that you want to use somewhere but don't know when you want to play it?
You two are so funny.

I am walking down to "We Must Be In Love" by Pure Soul. If you ladies are familiar with the lyrics, then you will know what I mean.
I was thinking of starting my walk on the chorus part (cause, you, you are, you are just the one i want to spend the rest of my life with)
I think I might have the flower girl and ring bearer walk down at the very beginning of the song, so by the time they get up to the front, the chorus part will be on, and I'll start my walk. I won't know until rehearsal though, so I can time it.
Let me make sure I got this right. After the MOH walks down, that's when the runner is rolled out, then the flower girl and ring bearer walk, right?

Not typically, but you can do it any way you want. Nobody usually walks on the runner but you and the flower girls. The ring bearer goes right after the bridal party, and then the runner is rolled out.
I really like your idea of having the beinning part of the music play as your flower girls walk. That won't work for me because I am having a trumpeter play a fanfare right before the doors open up for me.
b2b, Bossie advised about the order of the walking. I'm using "We Must Be In Love" as my first dance song. Great choice! That song has so much feeling to it! I cry sometimes listening to the song and thinking about FH! It's beautiful.
B2B & Askalot, this Pure Soul Song must be a winner!
