My fiance and I had a conversation recently and he says that he's not going to cry. I have never been to a wedding that the groom didn't cry at. I think he will be crying right along with me -- lol! Do you ladies think your Future Hubbies will be crying? For all of you who are already married did your husbands cry on your wedding day?

My husband did not shed a tear! I was grinning like a crazy person and he even WAVED! lord the humiliation! lol
I love that men cry at their weddings. SO endearing. Eloi is so adorable that I forgive him not weeping with joy. But boy did he look HAPPY to be getting married!

I know that my husband will probably cry, because ever since we have been planning our renewal all he can do is talk about how much marrying me "again" means to him.

I honestly have no idea if my fh will cry or not. I guess I'll have to wait to find out.

Me and FH, our love is like a see saw (Aretha reference). If i cry he won't but if i manage to keep it together he'll be touched by my earnest face and tear up.
I thought that my husband was going to cry, but he sure surprised me. He didnt shed a tear. I cried as I was saying my vows, and he almost started then, but he kept looking away from me so that he wouldnt.

I don't think my FH will cry, although I think that is so touching when a groom cry. He tries to be too macho! lol But, we'll see.
He says i'm going to cry. I assured him, that IF I start crying, he'll start too. He hates to see me cry. Like this morning, in Training, the DVD showed a little ebony baby not breathing and it made me tear up. (the grandparents were so hurt- obvious demonstration, but when you see 'your own' its different) Well, I looked over at him, and his eyes started to water too. When he verbalizes how much he loves me, his eyes fills with tears everytime. But we'll see...
I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.

I don't know why some men try to put up that macho front. It is ok to cry on your wedding day (or any other time for that matter) LOL!!

I think they try to put on a macho front for there friends. I dont think the want there friends to pick on them.

I'm not really sure if my fiance wil cry or not I asked him and he said probably not unless I sing him a song and then he would not be able to hold back the tears. This is because he knows I can sing but I never do unless it's at church or just playing around.
That would be a beautiful touch to add to your wedding.

I asked FH this last night and he said "I don't know, it depends". lol So, I guess it is possible for him.
There is nothing like a good old fashioned wedding to break a man down to tears!

You know girl.At my M.O.H wedding her husband cried all during his speech and that made her cry and all the bridal party cried etc.etc.It was so touching. And the amazing thing is that his GM/escorts didn't jeer him or laugh they were really suppotive they were saying 'hang in there bro'.....We all need that support.
You are so right Nikki, we all need that support, especially the men because they are so busy trying to be so strong that they forget to be human.
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
As an ex navy man, I do nt think my fh will cry. The only times I've seen him cry in 24 years is when I had our son and the 1 time we broke up.

Wifey I am nt playing with you!!! Did u not hear me say we have 7 kids!!!! Seriously though, we had such a hard time with the last one. I'm old now and Taj was a high risk pregnancy. I was in and out the hospital all the time. So he had his tubes tied to protect me.

Rhonda you started this thread, did he cry?
I don't think my FH will cry if he does it will be a miracle!
Yes DW he cried like a baby! When my daughter sang Whitney Houston's version of "I believe in You and Me!" Mr man thought he would be able to hold out, but his baby broke him down and he cried -- as a matter of fact there wasn't a dry eye in the place!

:) That's great to hear. Guess he was wrong....
Most men say they wont cry, but when you start feeling all of those emotions you just cant help yourself.

It's true House, men don't know what to do but cry when their emotions overwhelm them. Even the "toughest" man will cry on his wedding day.

I must say, my hubby didn't shed a single tear. He was grinning the entire time. I only cried once in the hotel room (and I'm so glad he didn't see--I would've heard the end of it)
I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.

I really hope I don't cry...and not for obvious reasons. call me crazy but I don't want my eyes to get all red and puffy, which they tend to do when I cry. Is it true what they say about preperation H?
one of my FH favorite (between us) story is reinacting how one of his BF brokeDOWN at his own wedding (I mean REALLY bad) Now i'm sure he's wishing he never made any comments like that because now he has to live up to being "strong." what ever that means.
...oh well, we'll see.
My fh will definitely cry at our wedding. I am so certain that he will cry we made a bet.
we made a bet.
That's a good idea, I may have to borrow it.
What will you get if you win?!? Aside from satisfaction? LOL
...and if you lose?
If I win after our honeymoon he will have to do all of the house work for two weeks. If he win's then I will have to bring his meals to him in lingerie.

Wow, it looks like you both will be winners not matter how it turns out.
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
Yes, VERY creative. And thank you...considered yalls idea borrowed...LOL, it'll be something private we can look forward to.
I can't give him leeway on what he'll win. You know how they tend to go overboard!
I dont know who he thinks he is going to get me in lingerie serving him his meals while the children are awake.

well the good thing is that EVERYONE can be awake when he is doing housework! But if you happen to lose, I'm sure he'll come up with something. Men are some crafty buggers when they need to be.
Too funny ladies!!!
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
LOL!!
I refuse to bet my FH if he will cry because he is so competitive, he will bite his lip completely off trying not to cry so he can win the bet. So I will keep quiet on that one....If he does cry it will be hard for me not to cry. He told me I better cry because I have been holding all my emotions in during this whole planning ordeal and he would like to see the gentle, woman that wasn't afraid to let her emotions out that he met 7 and a half years ago....I told him "don't hold your breath!" I'm not the timid 19 year old "baby" he met back then. I'm a big girl now:)

LMAO - I think our FH's are related. He will do whatever not to lose. Men are too funny.
If my husband cries at our wedding, because out of the 10 years that we have been married he has only cried 4 or 5 times, I will tear the church DOWN, do y'all hear me? I will absolutely lose it. If HE is crying, then I know something! I always cry........I cry at Lifetime movies, I cry at weddings, I cry at church, I just cry all the time, so it is already a given for me, but to see him cry, will just set me all the way off. I already had a dream that I got to shouting at the alter and then after I got started, then one of my friends, who is a bridesmaid, got going, and it was over from there!! So, I do want everything to run smoothly (no shouting, if it can be helped), but if my husband cries............... I don't know ;)
I know FH is going to cry and I'll KNOW I'll be crying all the way down. I'm just as emotional as tdanke, if not worse. I tear up at the drop of a hat. And wait. The minute I get in my dress and my mom starts crying....I'll start crying...then my sister....then my aunt. I know there's mascara that doesn't run but I need makeup that isn't going to rub off! Everybody is going to be bawling.
And shouting? Girl I'm scared I'm going to fall out!

Wow Abeni...I just noticed you ticker!...only 5 months left...how is everything going?
I doubt very seriously if FH will cry, me either for that matter. If either one does though - WOW! Everybody in the church probably will cry out of shock and admiration!
Everything feels right finally. We decided to move the date up and everyone (my mom and bridesmaids) were tripping about the timeframe but it's still definately doable. I've been finding bargains in places everywhere and Walmart is fast becoming my bestfriend lol! It was like after I decided on the date, and the colors i wanted planning became a whole lot easier.

Girl, I just came from WalMart with a carload of stuff, funny you mentioned it!
I don't think FH will be bawling but I think he'll shed a tear or two. I've only seen him cry twice and one of those times we were laying in the dark so I didn't actually see it but I felt it. The other time he shed a few tears and when I saw that I just started crying my eyes out.
