GARDEN OF EDEN

Good morning my sweet ViBrides! This weekend my wedding coordinator and I were in one of the huge craft and flower shops looking for centerpieces and stuff. We found the centerpiece for the tables. They look kind of like champagne glasses only the mouth of them are wider. What she is going to do is put a candle in them, get some greenary and wrap it around the stem and have it extend outward and put a mirror under it so it can reflect the candlelight. She is also going to sprinkle soft yellow rose petal around the centerpiece. With white linen table cloths...IT'S GONNA BE GORGEOUS!! Anyway as we were looking at more stuff something just came to me...the Garden of Eden. When I said it out loud we both looked at each other and said "THAT'S MY THEME!" It was ON from there man! So here's what we are going to try to do....The reception is going to be all white, with greenary hanging off of stuff and wrapped around stuff. Splashes of yellow like the rose petals and flowers on the tables. We want to get some pedastels (I KNOW that ain't even how you spell it but I'm having a brain fart right now). We also want to get some sort of fountain don't know what yet, but so we can have that relaxing sound of water flowing through out the room. Do you ladies have any other ideas on this theme, how do yall think that sounds?....

Sounds great. I am trying to get a lot of greenery myself, but we're going for a romantic feel with the double-heart logo. I think you should pursue this to the max!

Oh yeah my color is soft yellow or cornsilk....don't really have an accent color to that. I'm a pretty simple kinda gal, so I don't want to do TOO much but I still want it to be nice, elegant and clean looking....the white linen, candles, greenary and splashes of yellow I think will be just right...

I agree Soontobe, I am one for "simple elegance" -- and it seems to me like you have it all covered!

Congrats on your theme. The choice is great! When the springtime comes you should have a lot of choices/selections at craft stores. Are you going to use an arch to get married under? I think it would look really nice with some ivy wrapped around it.

I think my coordinator have two arches that she is going to use at the reception but not at the church. She's going to wrap those with ivy.

Re: GARDEN OF EDEN

My colors are tiffany blue, white and silver. The invites have the silver matte double heart logo with a silver matte border. I found the cake knife and server, cake topper, garter and tosting flutes all with a doube heart logo at Walmart for very little. we are definitely gowing for a Romantic theme, with lots of white and ivory rose petals, and greenery.

PS. If anyone is using REAL, colored rose petals, DO NOT get them on the church floor especially if the floor is carpeted. I didn't evn consider this, but I saw it happen with red ones on that wedding show and the pastor was "upset" to say the least....the coordinators had to scrub the floor all night because someone went behind the coordinators back and ordered real ones and they seemed to just have forgotten.
Some of ya;ll may have known that but for people who didn't like me....good to know.
