Yesterday was our "Get Acquainted Dinner" for our bridal party since they didn't know each other. We had such a good time. It was informaal and held at my sister's house. We gave my mom (his parents are deceased), each member of our bridal party, ushers, & hostesses gifts. People gave truly touching speeches which of course caused me to cry and cry some more -- LOL!!! It was truly a wonderful day! What are you ladies doing for your bridal party? Informal/Formal "Get Acquainted" or "Rehearsal Dinner"?

Rhony... You do the classiest things for your bridal party! My BMs were all last minute (because of AA & Delta Strike) and minors (16-17 years old). I had a fake martini party which made them all feel really grown up. It made the grown ups happy that the mocktails tasted like the real thing without the side effects! lol

We had Coconut Coladas among others. Put them in light up glasses to create a festive atmosphere. Here is the recipe for a few Non-alcoholic Drinks. They are great when your church dosen't believe in alcohol but you want something fancy at your reception, shower, bachelor party or rehearsal dinner!
Coco Colada - Into a blender add a couple of handfuls of ice, and 2 parts of pineapple juice to 1 part of coconut milk. Blend and pour into a chilled martini glass.
These I found to be fun and more grown up:
Brooke Shields - Slightly more up-to-date version of the Shirley Temple. Into a shaker 2/3 filled with ice, add a large (50ml) shot of orange juice, a small (25ml) shot of lemon juice, a dash of lime juice, and shake and strain into an ice-filled highball glass. Add a dash of grenadine, top up with ginger ale, and garnish with a cherry.
Safe Sex on the Beach - Into a shaker

Sounds like it was great Rhony!
Each One Teach One!
I was planning on making the jewelry for my bms but I might have a jewelry making party as part of the dinner. I would decide the beads and overall design of the jewelry and teach them how to make their own necklaces, bracelets and earrings.
I've done this before for weddings and each time everyone loved it. It would definitey save me from making something 10 times. I'm afraid that the jewelry would count as much as a gift though. What do you all think?
