My shower is on Saturday and I was wondering if the bride usually gives a gift to the hosts of the shower? If they do, what kind of gift will be appropriate?

I've never heard of it but if it's etiquette please let me know because I have one on next Saturday. I've given several showers for friends and wasn't given anything so if this is what's supposed to happen I'm going to collect! lol
TRADITIONALLY, THE BRIDAL SHOWER IS APART OF THE WEDDING PARTY'S GIFT TO THE BRIDE. JUST LIKE THE BACHELOR PARTY IS THE GIFT TO THE GROOM. I THINK THIS IS COVERED WHEN YOU GET YOUR BRIDESMAID A GIFT FOR BEING IN THE WEDDING. HOWEVER, IF YOU FEEL LIKE YOU WOULD LIKE TO, BY ALL MEANS GET THEM A GIFT.

Thanks for your responses. One of the ladies is hosting is using her house for the shower, but she is not in the bridal party, the other host is a bridesmaid. So that's why I was thinking I would get her something for willing to use her house for the shower.
UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES, I WOULD PROBABLY GET HER A GIFT.

Something for her personal use. A good book, a CD/DVD collection, a gift card to her favorite store.
Living my life like it's GOLDEN!!
I have never heard of the bride giving a gift, however that would be a nice jesture. It is a great way to show your appreciation.
