Having the hardest time......

I'm having the hardest time picking colors for my wedding. I have favorite colors but their not colors that I would want for my wedding. I was wondering on how others pick out their colors for their special event. I need ideas on what colors would go together too, espcially during summer-June/July.

Well this is how I picked my colors. I found a color the symbolized something that I wanted to carry through out the wedding. I chose purple that is on of the main colors of African royalty. So I guess I would tell you to choose your theme then go with the follow.

Where is the wedding? what colors are there? When you look at dresses or flowers, what catches your eye? Do youlike pastels, jeweltones, or metallics?

Maybe you are going for a particular "llook" you know glamor (try black and white or chmpagne and cream) looking for "cool?" pale blue, or platinum or silver gray might work.

Also consider the type of dress you are wearing. Anyway, those are a few ideas. Congratulations and good luck.

Those are both great ideals. The one I always suggest is going to a paint store' and look at swaps. get the ones you like and take to a fabric store to match up colors. hold fabric up to you and around you. Now, do you feel the vibe?Does surrounding yourself with your color choices makes you feel like royality? sexy? confident? a princess?, or does it make you feel fat? stiff? Does it make you glow or does it make you look hard. Although you will not be wearing this color, it will be your theme and core detail of all your decision making ...so yes color is important. Trendy colors are ok as ling as they work with your look.Traditional(or what I call comfort, safe colors are ok also.)
