Hey there Plat and Bumble! It is so good to be back. My hubby and I are planning a weekend get-away. We can't do a whole week because he is a teacher and his job is giving him a hard time and my daughter is in school during that time. But boy oh boy is it going to be a great weekend! We haven't quite nailed down a location as yet (the usual between us). We plan on securing a location soon because we don't want to pay a fortune -- (we need our pennies -- will be buying a house soon) LOL!!!!

Well, you may want to consider driving down to the Carolinas and staying at a B&B. In November, its off season, warmer than NY, and has a cozy, laid back, romantic feel. If flying, it may be a decent price. Savannah, GA is also cozy and far enough for a change of scenery, plus you can stop by the Fabulous Paula Dean's restaraunt for some Southern Cuisine. Savannah is on the coast, so a waterfront is available.
I like to travel to small coastal cities because the price of the hotels (especially the fab ones) are ridiculously cheaper, and being in a smaller city, its romantic, quiet, and the hotel people will remember you and cater to you....vs. just being one of the hundreds of couples there. We did this for our honeymoon. We went to Destin, FL, which is 2 hours west of Tallahassee, our 2 room suite and the Emabassy Suites had a view of the beach, and since March is right at the end of the off season, our beautiful suite with complimentary champagne, and full breakfast buffet was 93.00/night. Plus, there was shopping outlets, clubs, and malls to go to. Plus it was spring break, but all the students were in Panama City tearing it up, so the beaches were basically clear everyday, and we got a lot of freebies (like free use of the umbrellas and chairs on the beach(50.00 rental/day), and drinks at the bar was also free because the hotel was not full.....If climate is not an issue, then look for local beach towns, Jersey, Upstate NY, or farther south in MA, RI, Virginia, with B&B.
okay so there are some ideas for you. Let me know what you pick.

Hi Rhony :) Nice to 'see' you.
I have no plans to do anything for our 1st anniversary. I'm just enjoying "us" living in our house.
If I ran across a great deal, I sure wouoldn't mind flying to a cold destination.
I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.
Delight yourself also in the Lord & He shall give you all the desires of your heart.-Psalm 37:4

Thank you my friend! I missed you guys too!!!
I had to take some time to take care of some personal business. I had an extremely stressful job and a boss that was determined to make my life miserable. Praise God that He delivered me from there and I am at a new job and I am very happy.
