As many of you know, roses is my theme and my colors are orange and ivory. I got a sample in the mail and I think they are very cute.
Here's the discription: A soft taupe rose and your words of love are printed on a translucent overlay, which tucks inside an ecru vellum folder. An embossed window allows for the rose to peek through. For a finishing touch, ecru ribbon is included. Invitation folded size is 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" and ecru vellum foldover accessory cards are 3 1/2" x 5".

Askalot, I love those invitations. Those are beautiful! Will you be purchasing those?

Do you really? Whew...I'm seriously thinking about it. For 125 invitations (with printed envelopes), 125 response cards (with printed envelopes) and 125 reception cards, it came to $283. Which I think is a great price!!
I love them, they are very elegant!

That's a fabulous price and they look totally awesome - I would get them....
Charlotte wishes you all a beautiful Christmas filled with loads of love, laughter and the true meaning of this blessed season.
Septbride we have soooooo much in common! Great minds think alike. Ivory and burnt orange are my colors too and I'm also doing roses. The kicka is I've been looking at those same invitations, it's actually between that and two others. What website did you get that price quote?

Askalot I have a question - does that bow go on the outside envelope or inside on the actual invitation?

Very pretty!
Living my life like it's GOLDEN!!
That'll be a plus - they can use it as a ribbon for their little girl's hair after the wedding.....I got one before and when I opened the invitation and realized how long the ribbon actually was, I was so pleased and that is what I did with it.

Great choice Askalot!

PB&J, did you end up ordering these? If so, how did they look with the writing? My sample didn't have any wording.

No, Askalot! I actually ordered a sample of another and my wedding planner made them. I think that I posted a picture of them under another thread. I will try and find it. I did ecru and gold. Everyone is raving about how pretty and elegant my invitations are! I was very pleased at the end result and the money saved.

Those invitations are beautiful. I just ordered samples of invitations I liked and when I got the samples I didnt realize how simple it was. I am thinking about trying to make them myself.

THank you ladies. PB&J, you could NEVER go wrong with saving money.
Okay, I have my final invitation. I got the sample the other day and I love it (even FH & my mom like it). It looks better in person though.

They are both very nice. But, my vote is for the first one.
SeptBride, I like the 2nd one a lot! Where did you get the sample from? I've gotten some samples in, but they look so plain. What was the cost on the 2nd one? The first one is very elegant, but I like #2 better.

You have great taste Askalot, I love those as well!

Thank you ladies so much! The price isn't as cheap as the first one, but it's not extremely high. The quote I got was something like $350. But that was for 150 invites w/ printed, lined envelopes, 150 RSVP w/ printed envelopes, 150 direction cards & 150 note cards (to let people know if they don't rsvp - they won't have a seat). I went to The American Wedding. They have A LOT of beautiful invitations (reasonably priced too).
Girl if I was thinking I would've done that Note card thing. So important! Now I have to call my peeps and let them know that they can't bring 4 and 5 additional people. What were they thinking? Or phone calls to the stradlers for not sending back their RSVP. LOL!

You're welcome Sheawill. At first I thought it would look tacky, but I'm going to word it nicely but to the point.
People do it because they don't have any regards for people's pockets. And these would be the same people to put $50 in an envelope!

You are right Askalot, I just think it is so rude not to RSVP. I have learned so much planning this wedding, and if we ever have a renewal ceremony I know exactly what to do!
