How to Invite Only Adults for Your Wedding Reception?
This is a common concern. WE had an Adults only reception and Listed the names of the couple only on the invitations. We also put the words ADULTS ONLY RECETIon on our reception cards. People STILL brought kids. Only a few, but still... WE were prepared for that, though. We had the hotel keep a seperate area so that any univited kids under 18 were put in a room with movies, games and snacks.
Understand that some may be genuinely surprised or hurt that their kids can't come, but don't give in. Think about hiring a babysitter or two to care for kids during the reception. They can have a pizza party -- way cheaper than having them at the reception, and everyone will be happy.
