How many different shades of colors?

Ladies, my question is this. Sometimes you can't get the exact shade of the colors you are using. So, how many different shades of that color can you have?

Ex: my colors are burnt orange, ivory with hints of gold. The orange roses will not match the burnt orange dresses exactly. So far, that's 2 different shades. Get where I'm going with this?

Askalot, it is fine babe! orange monochromatic schemes are great! I found this to show you how great things blend together: various shades of orange would be great and would look fabulous with your burnt orange dresses, gold and ivory

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride; so I love you because I know no other way. ~ Pablo Neruda

Re: How many different shades of colors?

I think as long as you dont jump into a whole new color you are fine. I know there are mixes with yellow and orange and red and orange just make orange the MAIN color. It really doesnt matter how many shades there are to me, especially with orange. Now my situation would be different. People kee trying to sell me burgundy/maroon instead or red. An we all know that red and maroon aint the same no matter what you call it ex. candy apple red, fire engine red, apple red, claret, scarlet and so many others.

You don't need the flowers to match, you want them to compliment.
Ex: The gowns are chocolate, the flowers are peach, yellow, cream(not ivory), and plum.

This girl is bananas. We already had this conversation months ago. I told her the same things you all are saying. Everything is not going to match perfectly and they very well shouldn't...BORING!!!!
