My hubby to be is in Iraq and it is fustrating not knowing when he will be home. He wants me to plan our wedding but it is hard when you don't have a date.
I don't tell him my fustration because he has enough to worry about. Such as staying alive.
I done all I can do without knowing when.
Anyone esle going through this?

Yes, I know the feeling! My husband-to-be lives in Augusta, Ga, and travel back and forth is not a regular option. Planning alone without the option of immediate feedback is a trial.
Maybe you can start pulling ideas together, you know for sites, colors, themes or whatever, and maybe mail them to him for his input. it'll give him a sense of participation and something to look forward to.
I'm making the initial contacts and weeding out the impossibles. also putting together a sort of scrapbook.

Try to lock these guys into a ballpark date. Like Spring 06 or whatever. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING until you have a date locked down. Not even your dress. It may be hard but you don't want to wear a gown designed for winter wedding when you end up getting married on a beach in the dead heat of Summer! Or favors that won't work with the theme of the wedding. Good luck and much love!

My fiance was stationed in IRaq from 1/2004 to 3/2005 and I had to begin planning things on my own around August 2004. He figured he would be home no later than after 15 months so we tried to pick a date after that. He choose July 4th weekend because as a soldier (here in the states) he is guaranteed that weekend off.
It was very frustrating and I always wanted to include him in the decision making for things. All I can say is thank GOD for the internet (whomever invented the thing). My fiance lives in Texas and while he was away I was living and working in New Jeresy. So I had to research everything online-even the wedding location that I eventually booked. I talked with reps from all the companies I contacted and had to take a leap of faith for everything.
Most of what I found I was able to fwd to my fiance's e-mail account so he too could look when he had the time.
Now we are both here in Texas and the wedding is less than 60 days away (July 1, 2005).
When your guy does return from Iraq be sure to shower him with love and affection. Everyday I give thanks that my guy and I have more time to spend with one another. During the last few months that he was on tour I thought I'd go crazy with worry. So, now that he is here beside me I just cannot stop hugging and kissing him. LOL
Best of luck to you in your planning and my thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.
Coming Into the Home Stretch
Thank you the encouragement, which I truly needed. I have kept him as informed as I could. He is in a tight situation right now because his battlion is consistently under fire. I will be sure to give all the attention and affection he needs when he returns home. I am blessed that we both stay in the same state. Just different cities, in lives in Jacksonville, AR and I live in Little Rock. Which is only a 30 min drive at the most. So I am blessed to be able to go look at what I want. I will keep you and yours, eternally sacred in my prayers as well. Thanks again
We are praying for you FH, _1wifedavis. Be strong.
