Sorry but this has nothing to do with weddings...I went to the grocery store which I normally would do about 3 times per week (growing monsters), went to get my normal supply....and guess what...THE PEOPLE INCREASED THE ORANGE JUICE......$7.99 per gallon!!!!
This is really peeing me off - there is no end to this madness over here.....and to think, they want us to shop at home - to hell with that, every opportunity Bahamians get - we catch a flight and go shopping - at these prices one has too.
Thanks for letting me vent.

Holp crap! That's high!
Living my life like it's GOLDEN!!
When I buy OJ, I usually catch the Tropicana on sale at 2 (half gallon containers) for $5. I can't imagine paying $7.99 for a gallon! That is nearly 3 buck more than what I pay. The cost of living seems to be outta control over there!

Rony those Tropicanas are $5.39 per container - we don't get specials like that over here - if we do it's usually on Sunny Delight 1/2 gallon, they have them for 2/$5.00 every now and then but they do not taste like OJ to me so I opt to buying them.
I had to ask the Dairy personnel if he was sure the price was right - he said when the new stock came in on Thursday last week - there was a price change....so you know I have no OJ in my fridge this week right.

Wow! I don't buy the Sunny D, either because it doesn't taste like OJ (it usually costs anywhere between .99c to $1.99). That is really terrible. This might sound like a crazy question, but I don't know. Do you guys import your orange juice?

Yes we do!...we import 99% of our goods so you see how rediculous this foolishness is - for us to pay all this money and the markup these snakes are making?????? 99cents you gatta be kidding me!!!!
Sunny Delight retail for $2.99 1/2 gallon and $5.39 for the gallon....the devil is a liar!!!!
If you ever in the airport and you see a Bahamian with loads and loads of boxes - you know why.

Charging those prices are a sin!!!! How do they expect the people to live??

That's just the thing...they really don't care

And the hurtful thing is this is from concentrate - they say it's 100% but you know once it does not have the plups in it, it is not 100% - McArthurs.

Charly, I have 2 suggestions for you.
1) Start your own garden. Buy a juicer. And make your own darn OJ and sell it for $4 per gallon. Girl, you'll be rich!!!
2) C'mon over here to the US.
