To our married ladies,
As my wedding day fast approaches I wonder if I am missing anything. Do you guys have that one last thing/small detail/added touch that you wish you had incorporated into your wedding day?
Just curious.

I wished I did the tasting of the "Four Temperaments" where your pastor makes the bride and groom taste four things, something sour like a lemon, something bitter like vinegar, something spicy & hot like cayenne peeper, something sweet like honey. Each taste is representative of the different feelings you'll experience in marriage. I decided to cut this part out of my ceremony because my husband kept saying he wanted a quick ceremony, not alot of extras.

Since I'm not married yet I have posed this question to the brides of the last three weddings I attended. One got back so far:
"I wish I would have been more clear of my expectations of the MOH. That's my girl but that chick thought it was all about her! SO glad I had you and my cousin to fill in where she should have been. Also, I wish I would have paid for my MIL outfit. I guess her protest to us not buying it was the outfit itself. Ok, I'm being bad! Let me get off this phone with you!"
Well, that's informative. I happen to be buying my FMIL's dress (by necessicity) so i'm glad for that.
You know PamC-I read about doing that up here, and I wondered how that would work out. I have an ol school pastor and I bet her gives the same old marriage schpeel for the last 20 years. I wonder if he would be capible of switching it up.
One thing I wish for is a memorable ceremony, because I've never gone to one that I remember. Well one last summer had an awful soloist LOL...but that's not what I have in mind.
The only advice that I would give to any married woman is when it comes time to say your vows, put your whole heart into it! Look that man square in the eyes and let the whole church now you mean what you say. When my husband and I said our vows, he was shy and spoke very lightly (now mind you he is usually much louder). On the other hand I am the one who is usually soft spoken, but when I said my vows it is like something came over me and I just spoke with so much love and confidence, that people are still talking about it. So ladies, do your thang!!!!!!!
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
Rhony, you were definitely forceful when you said your vows. Rev. Clark still talks about your wedding.

Well we see someone was busy revisting and bumping. I think that my ceremony is already tooooo long as my groom will ut it as well, but I think I am going to squeeze the temperaments thing in.

What are some of the details of your program making it long Wifey? What is considered long (30 minutes, 1 hour, etc)? My cousin's ceremony was about an hour and 15 minutes long after starting one and a half hours late so that was DEFINITLY too long. I think the late start made it bad more so than the ceremony length though.
For me, I would have done my guest list a little better, and oversaw the flower person/coordinator better before I paid her. I still have to pray real quick when I see her sometimes, cause I was not pleased at all...AND I paid her.....But the wedding was still beautiful!
Yes it is! We allotted 1 hour for the ceremony, and ended up doing only 30 minutes...And it was funny because the wedding started on time, but I ended up coming out 5 minutes later than the planner had wanted....even still, with that extra time left, we were able to get the pictures done, take a little extra time, and still get the reception going on time!...Trust me, all you need is 30 minutes if you don't have all the extra stuff going on:)

30 minutes is the most time i will take for my ceremony. Im already nervous. I think 30 minutes is enough time to be on the spot.LOL
