Omigosh!! How exciting, congratulations, Rosie. We love you so much and you've taken such good care of us. I know you'll make a fabulous ViMommy. My mom had me at 35 and my sister at 41, so don't doubt you can be an amazing active mother.
Congratulations! Don't feel like you're old! My dad was 42 when I was born and my mom was 36 when she had my brother (making my father 53 years old at the time!) Good luck on your pregnancy!

They just closed La Leche League here. :( I did breastfeed my daughter Ford. My mother was mortified. She breastfed me, but only 8 months but not my other siblings.

I am actually a nutritionist, but since I work for WIC I have already seen hundreds of clients on breastfeeding counseling, education, and troubleshooting issues like latching, soreness, and the like....I am seriously considering going ahead and becoming certified. Its just expensive (like 500.00), so we'll see. But I have put up a few posts for moms-to-be, and moms (new and not so new) to add feedback...I invite the vibrides to check out vibabies and add you two cents!
Rosie, you and I are in the spirit, because I was planning on posting some reflections on attitudes towards breasfeeding after today's conference, and get some of the vibride mom's feedback.....i guess this is just the confirmation....Congrats again:) God is good:)

The girl was totally different and weaned herself at 7 months. Remember each child is different. I'll check in on ViBabies also!

Hi Ladies. It's been quite some time since I communicated with you all. The wedding was in June 30 and it was a beautiful wedding. I did get sick the day before rehearsal and went to the doctor and he thought I was having gall bladder problems but gave me medication to get through the wedding and honeymoon. We were suppose to honeymoon in Charleston, South Carolina and then Florida. But since I was experienceing lots of pain, we decided to spend the entire week in Charleston. We had a wonderful time and the medication helped ease the pain. You know this was the second marriage for both my husband and I and between the two of us we have two girls age 12 and 9. My husband desperately would love to have a little boy. The thing that worried me the most though was my age. I am 41 and will turn 42 this year. My gynecologist told me last year if we had planned to have a baby we needed to do it right away. Listening to you ladies congratulate Rosie has really been uplifting to me. I pray about the situation and I know if it was meant to be, God will provide and it will happen.
Welcome back Browncat. Have you and your doctor talked about the possibility of you taking pills to increase your fertility? My doctor also suggested a change in diet, consuming more of some foods less of others, can help fertility as well. Talk to your doctor and continue to pray. I'll say a prayer for you as well.

I have gall bladder disease too. You can alleviate them naturally. Believe it or not the next attack drink epsom salts. It relaxes the gall bladder and some of the stones will pass out. Regular pain killers will help with the pain. Meds can sometimes aggravate Gall Bladder disease! SO be careful. I know the pain is beyond excruciating. It was worse than delivering my daughter!

I haven't been here in so long and today what's the first topic I see??? Just tested yesterday and poof- clearblue easy really is that easy. I'm like Rosetta, I'm mixed up about how to feel. I was on the pill and needless to say, I'm caught a little off guard. I'm 34, hubby 47 and our youngest is 12. I'm trying to be excited but at the same time I keep thinking what in the world??? I know what God has planned doesn't always line up with our plans. Hubby isn't an excitable type of person- so I'm trying not to use him to pump up my excitement. Just pray for me ladies.

Aww, congrats sistah and glad to see you back...You got married on my mom's birthday....Right now I think its good to just pray for guidance and that your DH opens up a little more....I would go ahead and start making plans and getting preparations....Look into alternate locations to have the baby that would include your DH and maybe your children...I know when we think about having a baby I think I want to have it at home if my Dr. releases me as low risk....There are also water births and having them at a birthing cottage....The best thing you can do is make plans, think of what you'll do (BF or Formula, where to have the baby, etc, etc). That sometimes can get your mind off stress....Unexpected pregnancy is also an unexpected blessing....your DH is like mine...not very much will excite him....especially when things occur beyond their control...He will definitely come around, and you may even start mentioning your good news in your married couples class at church if you attend...Sometimes encouragement from others makes things seem a little brighter...
Also, if you have to cry...cry to get it all out...Cry in private if you can because then you can talk to God through the tears...things just seem a little clearer after that......Shoot as broke as we are-okay not broke, but ya'll know "just starting out" I can't wait to start trying, but my DH is like wait wait wait.....cause he is soooo practical....But I will be 28 in September and I'm like...dude, I'm not getting any younger here!!!!! But he is my DH and I love him so I will wait on God to give him a word so we can go.....(I guess I needed to get that off my chest...whew!)...But in the meantime...I will live vicariously through my vibride mommies, and gain all the wisdom I need for the future:)
