INVITATION ISSUE

My FH were having a discussion last night about how many invitations we should send out. We're now gonna have the ceremony on a golf course and the reception inside the country club. I was trying to get FH to realize that the country club will only hold 100-150 people sitting. FH's said this, "if there isn't enough seats inside, people can eat outside on the golf course where the ceremony is, seeing that everyone won't sit inside anyway." FH guest list alone is about 100 people. Mine is a little over 100 (due to most of my family being in Ohio). The biggest issue is when these RSVP's come in and they've invited a guest, we're talking 200-400 people easy. SO NOW I NEED MY SISTAHS INPUT!!!! With the capacity of the country club, how many invitations should we send?

Re: INVITATION ISSUE

On the invitation you should either put just there name indicating that you are just inviting them, if you plan on letting your guest bring someone, then you should put on the invitation the person's name that you are inviting and then put one guest. How does the manager of the country club feel about your guest eating out on the grass. I think you should talk it over with the manager of the country club to see what he thinks or if he has another room that you two could use. If not then you should just find another location, or bring your guest list a little.
