It is NEVER too early! Choose an invitation style and that will help with the theme and color scheme. Keep asking questions on here and they will be answered by us as well as other brides.

Stepkel listen to Rosetta. It is never too early to plan your wedding. My suggesstion is to get a giant binder & start filling it with all the information you find. Make different sections for pictures of dresses you like for youreself, dresses for bridesmaids, wedding/reception sites, photographers/videographers, invitations, flowers, caterers, etc... It may sound overwellming but since you have been smart & planned so far ahead it should be fun. The best part is shopping for your dress!! My bestfriends sister found out the hard way that when it comes to the dress your best bet is to really plan ahead!! She is leaving tomorrow (tues) for her wedding in the bahamas ( sat) but when she received her dress this morning she was sent a RED dress!! The place she ordered it from told her when she called to complain that the dress only comes in red & black, no longer in white!!! Lucky for her the dress she was going to switch into for the reception is sexy & classy enough that she can wear it for her wedding dress!!! So be sure to get your dress, with alterations & all, at least a month ahead of time. Right now is actually the best time to book your wedding/reception site. Here in ct most of the really nice reception facilities are booked a year ahead for the summer weddings. Once you decide on indoor or outdoor for the ceremony/reception you should go looking around for a site that you can book. Have fun with it all!! Congratulations!!

Re: lost

Goodie is absolutely correct! I started out with a huge binder as I finalized, I minimized my binder with the important info. I started my planning back in July 2004 and my wedding is on August 13, 2005. Now, I am done with my planning and finishing up the minor details. It's wonderful and stress-free. Some people are driving me nuts but I expected that. Good Luck.

A 2" binder is your best friend when you start planning your wedding. I put dividers in for ideas, suggestions, dresses, caterer, vendors, and contracts. I also had a card with my swatches. I called it my Bridal Bible.

My wedding isn't unitl October 06 and I already started planning. I think the earlier the better that way you will not be overwelmed with trying to purchase things. I am starting by looking for a dress that I would love, then I will work around that in terms of my bridesmaid dresses and the theme.

Charlotte wishes you all a beautiful Christmas filled with loads of love, laughter and the true meaning of this blessed season.
