how many of you ladies are putting or did put your mother's in formal dresses? I am trying to convince mine that I want her to wear a long dress but she is not trying to hear it

My mom wore a formal dress to my wedding and my brother's wedding. It was fitted to her body, and she looked glamorous coming down the aisle at both our wedding. My conservative MIL wore a very nice dressy suit. It also suited her taste and made her feel comfortable...I think as long as she is comfortable and color-coordinated, she should wear with the mood of your wedding: either formal, casual, and so forth.
well I would LOVE to see her in a formal gown (not form fitting-that is really not her) she has thousands (literally) of suits that are very nice but I want to see her in something different. the way I see it, this is as much as her celebration as it is mine and I want to feel beautiful also! :)
My Mom was not having it with the formal gown. She hates gowns, so she ended up wearing a suit. (secretly I think she was afraid she would trip, but I would never tell her that -- lol)

Lol! that is the first thing my mom said-"I don't want nothing dragging the ground" LOL
Plat this is my mom's style definetly but I want her to do something different (I'm pouting)
I told my mother that her attire (a suit or dress, something she would wear again) would have to be pre-apporved by me. When I told her my colors she told me that she could wear what she wore at my younger sisters wedding because it was silver. Ladies, when I saw that contraption, I looked around the place for a disco ball and some strobe lights because I thought she was going to break out with a full remdition of "I Will Survive". The only thing she didn't have was platform shoes and an afro.
She submitted to the pre-approval process after I told her that she would indeed be watching the wedding via satalite in her hotel room is she came in there would something that ugly.

My FH also sells men's and now women's fine apparel. My mother will be wearing D7995 from www.church-suits.com. I would have posted a link like Plat; but I don't know how :-(

My mama is so sassy I definitely have to approve her outfit. Its funny cause I used to try to get her to dress how she does now and she wouldn't! She was a hot mama back in the day - head cheerleader and all - so that is what I was used too! Now - sheeeeeeee's baaaaaaaaaack!

I like some of the outfits at womensuits.com for my mom. With so much going on I haven't talked to her about it.
