Colours are black & white with a touch of yellow.
Sorry about the late replies, different time zone :-(
O.K. I should be sleeping, but up late. I'm a night owl sometimes. Hi LoLo! Very nice to meet you and welcome! I'm so happy that someone from Australia is now on the board. I've always wanted to visit, and it would be so interesting to know about what it's like there from someone who lives there.
I'm sure you will have a beautiful wedding. Those are great colors. Do you have an inspiration board as yet?

Ndeipi, Lolo! Welcome to the sisterhood. My fiance is Zimbabwean and I'm having one of my weddings in Zim. I love your colors and can't wait to hear more as the details of special day unfold on the boards.
VIPrincessBride u are welcome to come visit anytime. No inspiration board yet, just tryna get ideas together as of now.My thesis is due in 3weeks so just trying to multi-task as much as l can.
Musikana hesi kani askana, where are u having your wedding in Zim coz apparently l hear u have to book the venue a year in advance!
January 2010 is still plenty of time to pull off a truly Fabu event. I love your colors. So, have you booked a venue yet? That would be your first step to research and book your venue, finalize the time of day you wish to have your event and your theme. You've already selected your colors, so that's a plus and you should also start looking at bridal magazines to see if there's any perticular gown that strikes your fancy. I know that you're also working on your thesis, but believe me when I say that we're here for you. You only have to ask and we'll fload you with ideas.
Again, welcome to the sisterhood. And if you could go to daisypath.com and create a wedding ticker to add to your page, we'll be able to countdown with you and keep you on schedule.
Welcome Lolo. I really love your colors too. On Project Runway for the Diane Von Furstenburg challenge Korto did a black, white and yellow dress that made me fall in love with the arrangement. It was so crisp and clean!
That was a beautiful dress! I'm rooting for Korto all the way. She reminds me of the sistah that was in season one who I think should have won, ---Kerasun(sp?) She was tight!
ViPrincess u are a legend! no wonder why they call it an inspiration board! those flowers are just perfect as well as the favours.thank u so much. l was exactly thinking to just have black&white for the tables&chairs then the yellow comes thru the flower arrangement, favours and girls' dresses.
LoLo, the best thing to do is to upload your pics at tinypic.com, then copy and paste the links that are for "message boards" to the body of your post. You can even create an account there if you know you're going to have a lot to post over the coming months.

LOL! I'm still at the basics Lolo, so ndinotaura shona zvishoma. I'm always telling FH's fam, Taura zvishoma to the muroora! Luckily I don't have to plan much in Zim. When I was in Harare, I sat down with his cousin-sisters and told them what I wanted and they're taking care of the whole thing, thank heaven. The Zim wedding won't be happening until next fall so I still have some time, too.
The flowergirl dress is gorgeous and I really like the tailored look of the linens in the second pic. The black edging on the sash and table runner isn't something you see all the time. Very elegant.
"I'm a work in progress, God is not through me yet"
I think any of those would look nice. The only one I didn't like was #3. I think it's the small ribbons. I especially liked #1 and #4. I liked that there were some or all black chair covers in those pics. You don't see that everyday. Something about the stripes in #4 grabbed my attention. The flower girl dresses are too adorable.
I love the flowergirl dress, very cute. I like table setting #2 and #4. They both will look beautiful with a yellow centerpiece to pull your colors all together.
