No frills

I will be married on Dec. 17, 2005. This is his first marriage and my second. Our issue is...We simply want a classy, elegant ceremony, with close family and a friend or two. We don't want all the other stuff that goes with weddings. My problem has been trying to do this short of going to the court house :) Any suggestions would help.

Thank you

Good Planning to all of you planning your special day.

Re: No frills

Cypress welcome to this wonderful site. Listen girl, you are stressing over nothing. You will plan like a normal size wedding only thing different is the amount of people invited, or what you can do is have your ceremony at your house (nothing is nicer than a bride making a grand entrance from upstairs) , this will ensure intimacy and you can incorporate elegance and class. Flowers descending, candles, tuling etc. Have fun with it!

Charlotte wishes you all a beautiful Christmas filled with loads of love, laughter and the true meaning of this blessed season.

Re: No frills

Cypress I just noticed that you are getting married in the heart of Christmas which means if you get married at home there will be a christmas tree which will defintely add elegance and make your theme very easy. Just accentuate the already existing theme "Christmas". Have Fun.....you are getting married at a perfect time, you know that is the time of year when everyone Loves a little more and care a little more. Perfect...Just perfect!

Charlotte wishes you all a beautiful Christmas filled with loads of love, laughter and the true meaning of this blessed season.

Re: No frills

YOU are perfect Charlotte. Great advice. A simple wedding really is just scaled down. Have a christmas theme. Serve Christmas food, eggnog, cookies, special cakes. Eggnog can be store bought and spiked at very little cost, about 10 cents a serving! Christmas decorations that you already have can make a church hall or your livingroom a fairytale setting. Just breathe. You have plenty of time to make this wedding perfect. Send christmas card wedding invitations! You can kill two birds with one stone. Here are some cool card/invitation ideas that cost about $1 per invitation:

Is Cypress still in marital bliss that she can't come back to say hi?

Re: No frills

I hope so...Remember, Rosey said they usually forget about the site once they get hitched. I could really use her insight (since I'm getting married in December, too). But I have all of yall (which is GREAT for me :-)

I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.

Re:No Frills

You are wearing red and gold in August? Is that the color you want for your dress or your wedding colors?

So Blessed to be in love and to be loved back.
