No Pictures Please

How do we, politely, let our guests know that we don't want any pictures taken once the wedding has started, except the hired photographers?

I've been to weddings where the Minister makes an announcement just before the bride enters but I think this disrupts the flow of the service.

I've thought about having something posted on a board sitting on an easle as people enter and/or having the ushers remind our guests and other suggestions.

People pay for what they do, and still more for what they have allowed themselves to become. And they pay for it very simply; by the lives they lead.

Re: No Pictures Please

You are absolutely correct in suggesting a sign outside the ceremony. Flash photography by others may ruin the photos you are paying for. I think a sign and ushers politely reminding guests that they should wait to take pictures at the reception or a time designated by you and your hubby.

Anyone else have any ideas how to keep Uncle Earl from stepping on the Professional photogapher's toes??? lol

Re: No Pictures Please

I would have a seperate photo op for guests and take the formal pics ahead of time. ZERO pics in the cathedral. I am paying good money, so I do not want an entire album of over lit pics because of overzealous camera jockeys.

I plan to use programs and it will be included in the program.

I like the idea of posting it outside the ceremony. I know my pastor will say something though. That is him!
