My man and I have no living grandparents between us altough we are both in our twenties. I want to ask or living aunts and uncles who helped raise up to walk in place of grandparents. It would be maybe 5 or six couples. He says all he needs is his parents. I think it would be a nice tribute to family. What do you ladies think?

That is nice. I just went to a wedding where the groom's mother had passed away, so he had an elder aunt walk in her place. I dont have any living grandparents either but I am just going to have the ushers walk down my mother and my fmil.

I think that's an awesome tribute too! My paternal grandmother is deceased so her sister(my aunt) will be walking in her place.

Thanks for the input guys. I just felt it was a good way to let people know that ALL family members can be honored at weddings. We are not the closest family. But I want that to change with me a my sisters. I try to take an interest in my nieces and nephews. Family is soo important.
