I couldn't agree more. What's sad is that this woman is left with two beautiful children that are with out their father and she without the love of her life; take on the day they were to wed. What a horrible thing to live with the rest of your life. I can't phathom how the cops felt they were justified on firing shots equivalent to a small war when he was unarmed. If I'm not mistaken, if a cop feels threatened they are suppose to try to diffuse the situation and fire a non-lethal shot to subdue them-not empty clips.

Condolences to the family.

This is a sad case... I did not know him but I knew his fiance for she use to be my brothers girlfriend when they were younger, she is a really nice lady. My grandmother lives literally two blocks from where the shooting took place. I pass that little club everytime I go to see her. Its just so sad to see all of these young people dieing over foolishness. My bother is now on probation and was told by his probation officer to stay out of that area where Sean Bell was killed for he use to frequent that area and we used to live over there before he was arrested. Now that we have a house in Long Island his probation office feel there is no reason for him to go there unless he is going to vist our Grandmother but he is still going over there to hang out. I swear that boy needs a real wake up call. If this Sean Bell incident does not open his eyes I dont know what will.

Last night, my sister and I were on the same subject. I didn't know if the jury came back with a not guilty verdict. Once she told me this, I felt utterly sick to my stomach. That poor family ~ not only did they loose a love one so violently on the day of his wedding, but to watch him be murdered once more by our so-called "justice system" is sickening. My question to this judge is "how do you sleep at night knowing that you've condoned this type of senseless killing of our black men?" I was so shocked when she told me that I had an instant headache and went straight to bed.

I agree with all you ladies. It is so sad. When I thought about her having to explain this to their children, I felt so sick. My prayers go out to the family.

This is very sad but I feel like....they may not pay on earth but they will have to answer to the Master, and I am fine with that. I know they won't repeat offend, so I feel like whether they went to jail or not, it doesn't mean much...the system itself has to change first, and thats a long time coming. I never hold my breath when I see these things happen, but Sean Bell is in a great place while these men will be tortured forever here on earth...Yes Mr. Bell left a beautiful family behind, so its important for us as black people to continue to raise our kids well to help preventing them to be a victim of circumstance, fear (the reason they were shot at), and poor use of power in the communities when they are supposed to protect.....

In the meantime we must pray for the Bell Family....
