I just saw a wedding video that showed that the bride and groom did a praise dance together before they had their traditional first dance. The danced to "Praise Is What I Do". It was beautiful, probably not something I could incorporate considering my FH is not the most physically coordianated person, but I thought others might like it so I figured I would share.

Real love requires a minimum of emotion and a maximum of the will - Bishop Keith W. Reed, Sr.
That is a real nice idea Ivy. I've never seen it done before, but I know that it would be something that guests would never forget.

that does sound cool! I would do it since I am a praise dancer at my church, but FH-NEVER!!! LOL
That is different AND intimate! Good idea if both people were in to the idea.
I think it's a great idea! But my FH may not try to be serious. He'll probably try to make everyone laugh. My might ask my daughters to do a praise dance(they are 15 and 13). They are praise dancers at my parents church.

Plat I think that is an excellent idea and a wonderful way to include them in the wedding. Awesome!

I agree with Rhony...Plat, that would be wonderful if your girls can do the praise dance. I wanted praise dancers for mine, but they were booked, already.
I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.
Delight yourself also in the Lord & He shall give you all the desires of your heart.-Psalm 37:4
Mu cousin was married in April and they had praise dancers perform 2 dances at their (LONG) ceremony. The 1st one was really nice but the last was too much because of the length of the overall ceremony.
If your DH is into it, it can be beautiful. Even if its done for comedy - the fact that he would be willing to even do it would be really nice!
Awesome idea! I am consideing having two praise dancers for my upcoming wedding as well.
Hi ladies,
I am getting married in 3 weeks, and I am looking for a song for my 3 of my bridemaids to do a praise dance to. I know it doesn't necessarily have to be wedding-related, but I am looking for something that is strong and moving such as "Set the Atmosphere" by Kurt Carr. Any suggestions??
