I need help in regard to my program. My husband and I are having a reaffirmation ceremony. I am doing programs. Usually there is part in the program that indicates the "Exchanging of Rings." My husband and I are not exchanging rings, however, we will be doing a part of pledging our rings. I do not know what words I should use to indicate this part of the ceremony. I really do not want to just use the word "Rings". Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Quite simply call it a pledge of rings. Or Blessing of the Rings. It is so romantic that you are getting your love reaffirmed. How wonderful! Is anything different than you did the first time? What are you leaving out?

Hello Rosetta,
Thank you so very much for your help. I was at my wits end about this situation. Renewing our vows is very different than the first time. The first time we were married in our pastor's home with one of the pastor's daughter's and a member of the church as witnesses. This time our children, grandchildren, family, friends, and foremost and above all God will be there as He was with us the first time as He is with us each day. It was very special the first time, but it is even more special now because we are reaffirming our love and committment to each other. Thanks again -- I have one week left.
P.S. I am doing everything as if it were the first time -- gown, matron of honor (my daughter), my sons are escorting me, both my husband and my grandchildren (flower girls and ring bearers), etc., etc., etc. I am doing it all :-).
Blessed be the Lord my strength ......
I am a first time bride. I was so encouraged by this posting. In an age when people are not staying married, it is just so inspiring to see two people who are still keeping love and commitment alive! That's right, 2nd Time do it up -- with gown, Maid of Honor, etc. Thank you! I wish you and your husband the very best in your Reaffirmation Cermony. God Bless!

I just LOVE that you are doing it up like that! I wish more second timers would. We had planned a cruise renewal and told my brother-in-law and he decided he would get married to his girlfriend on the same cruise! We never did renew our vows. I didn't want to compete or over shadow their moment. Maybe I will have one like yours. Done right with everyone in attendance again!
