Are any of you ladies having a reading or two during the ceremony? I was going to have a scripture read from the Old and New testament but decided on having only one read from the New Testament.
Ephesians 5:25-33 from the King James Version.

God is good all the time and all the time God is good
We probably will. We haven't sat down with the pastor & discussed it yet. FH was told all of that will be decided about 3 months before the ceremony.
I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.
Delight yourself also in the Lord & He shall give you all the desires of your heart.-Psalm 37:4
I want to have a scripture read as well. We haven't decided which one as yet. But now is the time to find one -- LOL!!

My FH and I are of two different religions so we will not have a scriptural reading during our ceremony. But we will honor his heritage (Korean) with a separate reception called a pae baek and during the wedding ceremony will be doing the saptapadi (seven steps) after each step you say a vow relevant to those steps... they are:
1)The first step is taken to earn and provide a living for their household or family, and avoiding those things that might harm them.
2) The second step is taken to build their physical, mental and spiritual powers and to lead a healthy lifestyle.
3) The third step is taken to earn and increase their wealth by righteous and proper means.
4) The fourth step is taken to acquire knowledge, happiness and harmony by mutual love, respect, understanding and faith.
5) The fifth step is taken to have children for whom they will be responsible and blessed with healthy, righteous and brave children.
6) The sixth step is taken for self-control and longevity.
7)The seventh step is taken to be true to each other, loyal and remain life-long companions by this wedlock.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride; so I love you because I know no other way. ~ Pablo Neruda
