I am thinking about doing my wedding ceremony and reception in the ballroom of a very nice hotel. I was told that the cost would be 3,000 which is really only a catering fee meaning i have to order 3,000 worth of food. With this I get the ballrooms all day. I think this seems pretty reasonable, but some ppl tell me it seems a little overboard what do you guys think?

All day? That's not bad for that rate.
I also think that is a great rate for food, reception hall and a ceremony site! Some cases that is the cost of the reception site alone. Will they also decorate the site? Even if modestly with flowers on the tables it will save you even more! And uhhh which hotel is this? Come on girl, share your secret. LOL

I haven't found out if they will decorate the sight or not I am going there on thursday to look at it so far I've only looked online. It is the Four Points By Sheraton in minneapolis...but they have them everywhere
For all day I agree that is not a bad rate at all.
It would be cool if they are doing some type of decorations for you.
The place where we are having our reception will be taking care of the floral decorations for the ceremony and reception.
That was one less headache for me.
That's a great rate! If you have extra money in your budget, I suggest you splurge a little on the decorations and add a few extra candles for intimacy. That way, your day will really stand out. I'm looking into a hotel ballroom also. The rates are more reasonable and they have a beautiful space. But, I'm concerned about losing the intimacy of the reception with such a large room. What do you think?
