With a new wedding date *December 2, 2006* My fiance came up with this idea to go to a ski resort for our honeymoon. I've never seen snow before & we're both born & raised South Floridians that are used to (and tired of) 'fun in the sun' since we get it 365/24/7! Problem is, neither one of us know anything about ski resorts! I've tapped onto to a few web sites that talk about specific resorts, but i'm looking for something geared toward romance, snow, & mountains. Any ideas/experiences?

Would love to help but I too am oh so familiar with the fun and sun 24/7/365...but I responded just so you would know that you have my support and I hope the other ladies can help. :-)
Charlotte wishes you all a beautiful Christmas filled with loads of love, laughter and the true meaning of this blessed season.
Thanks, Charly!
I guess this idea isn't 'normal' by any stretch of the imagination. I'm going to continue to research on my own.

Have you tried going to expedia, orbitz or travelocity? Try ski.com or mountainres.com also.
Visit http://www.vibride.globaltravel.com We have lots of low rates that compare and have even beat expedia. I LOVE skiiing and our favorite place is in Boone, NC. It is the highest mountain on the East coast and the people are just charming! It has the greatest snow. (powdery and is constantly groomed) ALso the French Swiss ski school has great trainers. I highly recommend it for first time skiiers.

Thanks ladies!
I found a site for Appalachian Ski Mtn. in North Carolina & i'm loving what I see. Snow, cabins, & nice scenery. Since I am a first-timer, this might be what we've been looking for.

I admit I love skiiing. I like doing it in NC as well. It's a direct flight to Charlotte from here and driving up the mountain to the ski lodge is really scenic and exciting. Trips like these are so very romantic and you never have to leave the country. The stars are plentiful and HUGE when you are that high up. It was spectaacular.
