Somebody please help. I am getting married in July and my wedding dress shows some of my back. The problem is that I have some dark spots on my back and I need to know what I can do to get rid of them.
Girl I looked like a jaguar a few months before my wedding. It was the stress of planning it I think. I contemplated getting an acid peel but I was too afraid of looking like a freak on my wedding day. This is what I actually used and I can't recommend it enough! It worked pretty fast on my dark brown skin and didn't turn me into Micheal Jackson. Just evened out my skin tone. Ok, the name, TYK White Glow Skin Brightener, sounds a little offensive, LOL, but I really loved it. I paid $85 for it here but it is less at the link above. Also consider, Mederma
Thanks for this post Rosetta, my daughter is 15 and is driving me crazy about her acne. She also wants to look her absolute best for me and her dads wedding day. I will check it out. We've tried everything and nothing seems to clear it for good. Thank you.

Hi Laneirh, we tried proactive and it seemed to irritate her skin so much, so we discontinued use. She has acne, but her skin is very sensitive on top of all of that. Currently she is using the Neutrogena brand line of products, and it seems to help, but she keeps having break outs and then we're back at square one. She has some what changed her diet and drinks more water because I know that everything is related. I've made an appointment for her to see a dermatologist.
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
I didnt know that it could break you out. I guess from seeing all of the info-commericals, you just develop an idea that it is good for everyone. Sorry I brought it up guys...

Thanks for all of the suggestions guys, I really appreciate it. Platinum I've never tried Ambi. I haven't used cocoa or shea butter products either because I didn't know if the product would be too greasy and cause further problems. It's worth looking into though. Thanks.

I went to Elizabeth Arden's and had a skin peel. All I can say is OUCH!!!!And the problems went from bad to worse, my whole face was covered with scabs. It was so embarassing, and I paid for that. Well the only thing that worked to clear to hot mess on my face up was pure shea butter.
I picked up a container in Harlem a block from the Apollo from one of the street vendors. But I saw a vendor on Metropolitan and McGraw near the Parkchester train station selling it. It's only five dollars a tub.
Niquey, you gat my face hurting just reading about that peel....ewwww, Rhoda I feel a song coming on in that last line:-)...Listen ladies, is this shea butter thing a block of something... I mean I see something around stores, its hard like soap but somewhat flaky...is this the butter thingy you are referring? I will be the first to say that I do not like cocoa butter because of the scent boy but if it works that good, a sista don't mind smelling all stinky to look pretty. :-) Do tell!

I used Jamaican ambi for dark skin. I am the WORST at routines when I was a kid so I can't say if it works great or not. My sister's best friend used it and her skin was amazing! But she developed a mask-like brightness. Maybe too powerful. I think I am going to try the cranberry capsules. Maintaining great skin is what it is all about!
phenomonique I am glad you brought up the peel! I thought about that for years. How much is ouch? [lol] and SCABS???? WHat the....? Scary. Is your skin great now?
Phenomonique, thanks for sharing your story. I know that skin peels are not for me. Did the people at Elizabeth Arden tell you that could happen to you?

I just can not handle pain..if I have to go to the dentist and I know I will be in pain, I start crying 3 days prior to the appointment, when I was being rolled in the have my baby (C-Section, baby did not descend) I started crying uncontrolably and the nurse was so frightened she called my doctor..he said to her, "oh don't pay her no mind, she cries for everything".....I just can't take it :-)

Chul, you can get Ponds Deep Cleanser Cold Cream - The Cold Classic
delivered! lol. I had a freaky mole on the side of my face. flat, but I swear if you looked at it hard enough it moved! I had it scraped off by a dermatologist. no pain at all. You don't have blackheads if they are turning into raised moles. It is relatively inexpensive and they are gone forever! Most docs just charge the vist and not per mole. Horaay!

[quote="CharlotteModebe"]Rosey so what do you think about the PONDS that Island recommended...I can't find that here and I really do not think I will find your suggestion either but I am gonna look....oh and that reasonable price do not apply to me...everything here is doubled so if I find it I may pay 6-7 or even more but if it works as good as you state I think it will be worth every penny.

Horaay!

They could be moles. Are they raised? Do they hurt if pinched?
