hey ladies,
A thought just came across my mind. And I'd really appreciate some honest feedback. Ok.... how does the theme "Springtime in the Country" sound for my wedding? We are getting married in my hometown and it's the kind of place "where everybody knows your name." The wedding colors are apple red and creme. I know this might sound corny or lame but I really like the warmth, comfort and sense of home my hometown gives me although it's rural and country. I'm sure you have probably seen kitchen ware and pots or pan holders with the red apples on them. I really like those and was thinking of going from there with the wedding theme. Does this sound too Hillbilly or crazy or do you think it could actually work and HOW? So please give advice, whether it's not brutal or gentle. Thanks alot.

I love it. It sounds very personal and describes your uniqueness and personality. I think there has to be many wedding ideas for that theme. Good luck. :)

Sounds like a great idea! (I love apples & the color) I'm a sucker for that color combo: red/white...What a coincidence, right?
I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.

Excellent theme Marquita01. It is unique and is reflective of the "warmth, comfort, and sense of home" you want to convey. I think it can work and will be absolutely beautiful. Don't forget to send pictures to the site so all of us brides can see!

You ladies make me laugh :-)
Thanks for your input. I'm excited. I found some cute apple candles online that we'll probably use on tables at the reception and then give away as party favors.
Love ya!

Which site did you find the apple candles? Have you seen these?
On the Oriental Trading site there's an apple that can be filled with candy or whtever you want to put in it.

That's a cool idea! Did you consider using Granny apple green to mix into your colors? I can definitely see some beautiful centerpieces with fresh fruits and flowers in a large glass bowl. What time is your wedding?

I had not thought about Granny smith green to complement but that's a great suggestion. The wedding is planned for 3 pm.
