Stepparents and invitation wording

On my invitation do I include my fathers wife and then my mother..i.e

Mr. and Mrs. Yadah yah
and Ms. Yah
request the honor at the marriage
of their daughter?

Also when the preacher says who gives this bride to this man, my father will say what? Her mothers and I ?

I want to make sure that I do this correctly so that no one is left out because all of my parents are very loving and supportive.

Step parents and invitation wording

When you go to our invitation and accessory catalog there is a link called verses. It has literally hundreds of ways to word you invites and thank you cards.

I personally would opt out by simply stating:

Because you have shared in their lives
by your friendship and love
you are invited to share
with our daughter, BRIDE
and GROOM
when they exchange marriage vows
and begin their new life together
on DAY
YEAR
at TIME
LOCATION
ADDRESS
CITY, STATE

Paul Johnson and Phillipa Johnson

This way they are not linked as husband and wife but wife number 2 is not so much on the invite. No hurt feelings.

Re: Correct wording for invitations

Sounds like a winnner to me. I am sold.
