Hi Ladies! I am very new to this board, so you may see my name quite often as time goes on! :). My wedding is scheduled for March 2007. Is it too soon to start making plans? Also, I have a friend that is having "fundraisers" (i.e BBQ's, etc) to help finance her wedding. Has anyone else ever heard of doing such a thing?

It is never too early to start planning! You can lock in your date and buy the coolest favors and decorations for your wedding without going broke. I really love the idea of fundraisers too. How Clever!

I don't think its too early, My wedding isn't set until February 14, 2007...I want everything to be perfect!NONLNONLI'm engaged to a man who is freakin' wonderful! My thing is this, we're of different races (I'm black and he's white) and cultures (I'm Southern and Northern Indian and he's Irish and Polish) I want to combine both our cultures and races, question is can anyone help?NONLNONLThanks in advance
Oh my GOD Kendia we are kind of like in the same situation. I am black and my husband to be is white. I am a spoiled military brat who loves hip hop and r&b and he is like a midwestern type person who grew up with a lot of country music and things of that nature and I as well want to incorporate things from him but it is so hard, let me know if you have any ideas..
And jayreebrat, I am getting married on September 23,2006 and i have basically planned my who event now all we really have to do is work out the kinks and pay for stuff and we have only been engaged for 2 months so it is never too early to plan.. good luck and have fun
Congrats, WIFE2Be!
Don't concentrate on your differences, after all, it is the ways in which you are alike that brought you together! Incorporate favorite foods from both sides perhaps. Get everybody moving with dances from both sides even and add decorations that are symbolic of your respective heritages.
