Ushers

Hello everyone

My fiance and I have been going back and forth about how many ushers in the wedding. We already have 6 attendants on each side plus two ring boys and 2 flower girls. He wants 4 ushers on top of the 2 hostess we already have. Can some please suggest what i can tell him to get it in his head that we are already working with to many people?

Re:Ushers

He doesn't need ushers. I think he just wants something for these four people to do. Think about positions for them.
They could be free valets. Your guests would really appreciate that.
You could also have them be in charge of entertaining kid or the elderly at the reception.
One could be the Guest book attendant
One could accept and securely store any gifts brought to the reception
One could assist Maid/Matron of Honor with collecting mementos/keepsakes at
the reception (programs, menu cards, favors, Guest Book and Pen, Cake Top
Ornament, Top tier of wedding cake, toasting glasses, Garter, Bouquet, Cake
Knife and Server, etc.)

Grooms love having their family involved with the wedding as well. SO go easy on him.
