B2B, I'm sorry to hear about your & FH's loss. That is just awful! My prayers are with you guys. May God grant you the strength you need during this time.
Delight yourself in The Lord & He will give you the desires of your heart!Ps 37
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I pray that you guys will be alright. With only 2 months to go I dont think you should or know if you would replace him, but maybe you guys can have a special candle in his place in memory of him. I know another sistah had the same problem and that idea was given to her. In any case please stay strong I know loosing a loved one can be very hard, just know he's going to a much better place.
Oh, b2b, my heart and prayers go out to your FH and groomsman's family. This is terrible! Me and FH was just talking last night about how crazy the people in this world has become. I hope they found the person and lock him/her up forever. B2B, just hang in there tight with your FH.
B2B I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Fh's friend. I tell you there is so much going on and we just have to make sure that we have our lives in ordere with the Lord. I pray God grants all of you strength during this time. I lost a friend on Thursday and it was very devastating. Please know that he is in a better place and be there for your FH, I'm sure this is very difficult for him. Take care
Thanks Ladies........we need all the prayers we can get right now. I am ok, it's FH I am worried about. They had been friends for 20 years.
I am just so tired of this nonsense. When are our men going to realize how stupid they are acting? We don't know all the details, but it sounds like it started as just an argument in the club, that turned deadly. Is it worth taking someones life because of a disagreement?
Fighting is stupid too, but at least rather you win or lose, you can still return home to your loved ones, but once you are dead, you're dead, and there's no coming back. It just upsets me so much because we are losing our husbands, fathers, brothers, friends, etc..
To top it off, his girlfriend is pregnant with his first child. She is due this month.
*If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything*
OMG,my prayers are with his girlfriend as well. You're right,B2B,I'm sure there was nothing that important that his life had to be taken for it.We're still praying for you,Sista.
Wow, my heart goes out to his girlfriend as well. I don't know what it is with our men, but unfortunately the ladies should be included too. There is so much violence in the world, nothing is sacred anymore. Why would anyone get so angry that they take another human being's life? That is just terrible, and it is a sign of the current times.

Oh my plat! I feel sooooo bad for her and their unborn child. The same situation happend to FH's cousin. My prayer are with your FH and everyone that is affected by this trajic death.
We lost one of our groomsmen also. He had a sudden heartattack. In the same week my father had a stroke. It left FH and I stunned. The only advice I would offer to you is to just continue to pray and trust God. I will continue to pray for you guys as well.

Wow b2b. My prayers are with all of you.
One of my BM called me last night to say one of my friend's younger brother (27 years old) died Sunday night of a heart attack at a concert. Life is way too short for foolishness and nonsense.
OMG,B2B and Askalot,I'm so sorry to hear about these losses. That's one of the reasons why I wanted to plan the wedding of my dreams.Tomorrow isn't promised to anyone but before I go,I want to accomplish so many things.
Askalot, you are right life is too short for foolishness. I try to make the most of each day, because tomorrow is not promised to anyone. Platinum, you deserve to have the wedding of your dreams, so plan on sista!

Thanks ladies. The funeral was this past Monday. FH is doing ok now, but he didn't hold up to well at the viewing and the funeral.
I haven't seen the girlfriend since the funeral, but she took it very hard at the funeral. She was better afterwards, but still very sad. I think the hardest time for her will be when she delivers the baby, because it will sink in that's he's not here to share the moment with her, and see his first child. FH still goes past her house to check on her, and he said she seems to be ok.
I can honestly say that was the saddest funeral I have ever been to in my life. Not one dry eye in the place. He was a person who was loved by everybody, even those who have only met him a few times. He just had one of those personalities.
*If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything*
B2B that is really kind of your fiance to look in on her. In this way she will know that she has friends and is not alone during this very difficult time.

OMG,B2B,I'm so sorry to hear that everyone took it so hard.Believe me,I know how the girlfriend is feeling.I lost my oldest daughter's father when I was 5 months pregnant. He was only 19 years old.I think that it's great that your FH stops in to check on her.MY family wasn't supportive when I told them what happened. One of my aunts started rumor saying that I was lying about my baby's father because I didn't know who he was.Once I got a copy of the obituary from his mother, along with a picture, she couldn't say anything. My daughter looked just like him.
[quote="bride2be805"]And they say "blood is thicker than water". Whatever! In some cases, that's just not true. Sometimes our relatives could be our worst enemies!

Sometimes sadly that can be true.

Hey B2B My prayers are with you in the loss of one of your groomsmen. Are you planning to add a sort of memorial to him in the wedding. Maybe have someone light a candle in his memory or do a short blog on the program to him?
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without complexities or pride; so I love you because I know no other way. ~ Pablo Neruda
I just wanted to share my bad news with you ladies. One of FH's best friends was murdered over the weekend.

Yes, we will definately acknowledge him in the program along with FH's mother, my father, and my great-aunt.
I have gotten so many suggestions on ways to honor them during the ceremony, I just haven't made up my mind how I want to do it.
Again, thanks for all the prayers ladies because we really need them.
