Rosetta or any other ladies:
Do you know of any reputable consultants/planners in the Montgomery, Alabama area?
I know I could look on the internet or in the phone book but I feel like I can't get a true reputable person based just on those sources. I'm not getting married until 2006 but I want to look now so I can save for the budget. I would prefer a black woman and not too pricey for me, but known for doing great events. Thanks alot.

Hey Miss Alabama,
If you can't find a wedding planner, try to ask a friend or family member who is detailed orient and organized. Go and purchase a book and read.Before you make major financial decisions however try to get some advice of a experience planner(if they will give it to you) or come to the chat room. I will do my best to guide you. Wish you well.
Hey, Marquita01;
Congrats! I'm facing the same problem in Philly, so anyone who can point me in the right direction , I'd appreciate it.
One thing I can say, though, call a couple and interview them. See if they'll give you a "free' consultation. Also try the Black bride and Groom magazine website; they may be able to refer you to some local vendors. Don't forget to ask for referrals and call them!
