Wedding dresses other outfits....

So I just decided on my dress....I tried it on at DB in Tallahassee, and found it online for like 499.00 (Its 799.00 at DB)....so I tried it on again amongst others and we all (mom, my sis (MOH) and me) loved it!!!!So my question is has anyone ordered their dress yet? If so, did you order it online, and if so what was your feelings about the service? The dress I tried on at DB fit perfectly...the seamstress their said it needs to be bustled and maybe fixed a little bit at the bust (I'm a small top) but everything else was perfect....So I think it will order it online...I just want to know about other people's online dress ordering experiences...

Plus...how did you all decide on bridesmaids and flowergirls dresses? Did you decide based on their budgets or their tastes, shapes, etc? Did the color matter? (I'm finding that our favorite styles don't come in our color)...Did you buy your dresses at a non-wedding dress place?
Help a sista out:)

Re: Wedding dresses other outfits....

One bride on here has ordered her dress online so you can talk to here about it. I dont have her name at the moment but when I find the post I will let you know who it is.

As far as bridesmaids dresses you can either change your colors to get the dresses you want(which I dont reccomend), or choose a diffrent style.Color does matter to you because the bridesmaids bring out the colors of the wedding. Usually the bride wears white and the other ladies wear the colors you chose. For Example my dress is white with red and my bridesmaids will be wearing red dresses. You should shop around at all types of stores not just bridal shops.Sometimes you can find what you want cheaper at a regular store.Check around Prom and Easter and you can get good deals.

For me when choosing dresses I look at price and quality. asked th eladies what a good price would be and I started looking from there. I havent piccked out dresses yet but whe I do get THE 1 it will bw what I like and at a areasonable price.

Which DB gown did you choose Bee? DaVinci Bridal has a lot of gowns similar to DB that are priced for $$ less. When you order online make sure you have your measurements, don't go by the size you tried on in a store. Sizes vary from designer to designer. Also the gowns get stretched out as they are tried on. As for BM and flowergirls, most brides choose there colors them find a vendor that carries the color to choose the dresses. Some brides choose there gowns based on their BM's bubget, so it's really up to you.
What color are you looking for?

Re: Wedding dresses other outfits....

I ordered my dress from Phenomonique & had no problems :-)
I decided on which dresses my BMs will wear by considering a few things. First I decided on the color (wedding colors, that is), next I decided on what kind of material/style would compliment my own dress, then I started shopping around for the best prices (taking their budget into consideration). Since my BMs have to have considerable alterations made (because they are so small-smaller than a size 2), they opted to order from the actual bridal store, in lieu of going with the lowest price quoted.

I'm a married woman as of December 2, 2006.

Bee, sista threjolyn purchased her dress online at bridalonlinestore.com. She said it fit wonderfully (after alterations of course.) She got it for $99 and it was originally at David's Bridal for some astronomical amount as well.

Nique! You sell wedding dresses online?!

I tried on the dress at Davids Bridal and I found the same dress for a lot less on that same website but I haven't ordered it yet. Threjolyn, did you order the SAME SIZE of the dress you tried on at Davids Bridal?

Ladies,

I am all about trying new thngs...I found this kickin' website that I have ordered from. The dress is a vietnam custome that is called and ao dai. It consists of pants and a split tunic top. The outfit has been around for hundreds of years!
Have an open mind while you check out these international fly fashions, which do look great on the sista figure!

Re: Wedding dresses other outfits....

I just went to a wedding where the bride bought her wedding gown online. She originally went to bridals by roma( who has lovely gowns but are toooooooooooooooo expesinve. She had them write the item number of the dress she like on a card. She went home typed the item number in the computer and found out who the designer was. She went to the designers website and sore the dress for about a hundred dollars cheaper. She then went on ebay typed the designer's name and saw her dress. A bridal salon in jersey city was selling her dress, she went to the salon tried the dress on and it fit perfect. She went home bidded on the dress and got the same dress that bridals by roma was charging 1000 for 300. Mind you the dress was NEW- NEVER WORN.She also did the samething for her bridesmaid gowns. She just order there dress a size bigger.
