I am trying to decide on my wedding hair style. Recently I saw an episode of "Bridzilla" where the bride had some great micro-braids. I liked the easy care of the look and on her wedding day, she looked great. Does anyone have any suggestions on micros for the special day? Or maybe some extensions? Right now I have short hair that is growing out....

Hi Laneirh, I have natural short hair that is growing out also. Over the years I have damaged it by perming, blow drying, etc. I have cut my hair and now it is growing out. I was at my cousin's wedding who also has natural hair and she had twists, and it looked absolutely gorgeous -- she went and had them done at a salon -- and they hooked her up!!!! I am exploring twists, braids, etc. I just don't want to put a perm in my hair ever again. Micro braids would be really beautiful also. Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback. I guess what I need to do, is something that you are doing now; trying different styles. Since my wedding is not until next
September, I have alittle time to explore. Thanks again for the advice.

Ah,
The hair delimma....If you check out my photo on the wedding website(http://couples.weddingchannel.com/wedding_websites/PersonalWebsite.action?view=wp&occ=567218129), you will see that I have long hair-actually, it is a wig that I cut and style all my own! I have short hair that grows in spirts and spots.
The style I am wearing is great for that updo for a tiara and veil or a headband or hat-style, which I will be rocking next month!
I always have a couple on hand just in case I sweat out the style, it gets windy or it rains while at the church or on the way to the reception..instant bad hair day solutions! And...you can always go to the wig store and try something on if you are thinking about cutting and coloring the hair before it turns into a scary movie..right ladies?!
If it doesn't work, you just take it off and start over..unlike the hairdressers the day of the Big Day!!
Ladies...it never ever hurts to have a Plan B! You can have instant damage control with wigs and /or pony tails.....
Live everyday as your last, Love everyone you see, Laugh all the time...life is funny sometimes!
I am going to wear my hair down in long drop curl's with my tiara, just like a princess.
