Can anyone give me any suggestions or order of service for program? I would like to have all tradition things as well as a duet sung after the exchange of vows and jumping of the broom?

Welcome to the boards Tiffyler! Be sure to check with the church you are having your ceremony at (If you are having it at a church). My church gave us the order of service that they want us to follow and they are really strict about that. Some churches are a little more flexible when it comes to that.

I read Cinnys link "Ceremony Order of Service", and there was one thing that confused me. Under "Protestant", it says the fg and rb walk down, then the moh. I thought it was the other way around. Someone told me that the bride should be the first to walk on the petals. Does anyone know which way is correct?

Have any of you ladies seen and/or done communion in your wedding service? If so, where did that go in the program? Here is what I have so far:
Prelude
Candle Lighting
Seating of Grandparents and Mothers
Attendants Processional
Brides' Processional
Greeting
Prayer
Scripture Reading
Exchange of Vows and Giving of Rings
Duet "The Lord's Prayer"
Lighting of Unity Candle
Pronouncement and Benediction
Jumping the Broom
Recessional
Thanks for all of your help (in advance)!!!

I agree with you B2B. I've always heard that the bride should be the first to step on the petals after the FG & RB have gone down the aisle.
