I'm searching for something unique that bridesmaids can hold while walking down the aisle. I've been to a wedding where they walked down with a satin & lace decorated bible with long satin ribbons and i've seen decorated feather fans to match the girls gowns. But have anyone seen anything else or have any ideas they think is cute or different?

Hey Whistplaya...I stood in my girlfriend's wedding a couple of years ago and we held a long stem crystal rose. It was beautiful and some how even though it was clear, when we held it, the rose picked up all the colors from our dresses kinda like an illusion, it was just gorgeous absolutely beautiful. And the best thing about it was she gave them to us as gifts....that made them even nicer.

That sounds nice, i'll have to do some browsing on the web for something like that becuase i've never seen those in any store. I went to a wedding once where the MOH held it in sterling silver and the rose opens up and it's a ring holder, so she walked down with his ring and the BM had the Bride's ring. They gave it to the B & G right before they exchanged rings.

I was in a wedding where we carried candles in a decorative bubble glass bowl. The bottom of the bowl was decorated with flowers and ribbon. The lights were turned off so all you had was the candlelight from the ones in the church and the brides maids.
Hey that candle sounds pretty but ever since I saw a greek wedding where the bride head piece caught a fire, I am sceptical of any flames around me. I guess you can say that trauma scared me for life so the candle thing thou pretty is absolutely out of the question for me.

The candles were the small t-light candles so no flames came outside the bowl, but I understand. You don't need any unnecessary excitement at the wedding. :-)
I've seen some birdal party carry a small dove with flowers, or flowers on a decorative string hanging. That was very pretty.

I've seen these done with the flowers spelling their initials too. I like this idea, it's something they can have as a keepsake.
