I'm SUPPOSED 2 get married june4, 2005. I recently found out my fiance cheated on me. We are n different states right now. Should i post-pone the wedding, cancel it or what. I really do love him but i'm confused and torn right now, need some advice. I usually talk 2 my sister's but i don't know how i can tell them he cheated on me because they really like him and my neices and nephews as well as my children look up to him. Please give me some advice!

Was this a one time thing or an affair? This sounds like he is family already. maybe a second chance is in order. Does HE still want to get married??

This is a tough one -- especially since we know nothing about the background, like:

How long ago did this happen & how did you find out?
How does he feel about what he did?
Is he the sort of person who does things because he can get away with it, or does he place great value on his promises?
What are his family & friends' views and history on cheating?
and most importantly...
What has he done to earn your forgiveness? This is necessary not just for vengance's sake, but also to give him a reason to think twice next time a similar situation presents itself. Just be sure not to push him away -- keep showing and telling him that you love him, but he has to work to regain your trust.

AMEN!!!!! A little punishment is in order. Time for 9 carat canary diamonds, maybe?
It won't change things, but you will feel better everytime you look at it.

I THINK I WOULD SEEK MARRRIAGE COUNCELING.THE TRUST HAS BEEN DESTROYED ALREADY.DON'T BELIEVE ME? WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT TIME YALL FALL OUT.THIS IS SURE TO RESURFACE IF THIS IS NOT DEALT WITH NOW. I ONCE DID A WEDDING WHERE IN 5 MONTHS BEFORE THE DAY, SOMETHING MAJOR HAPPENED AND THE BRIDE CALLED IT OFF, LOOSING LOT'S OF MONEY AND SO FOURTH. WELL, 3 YEARS LATER SHE MARRIED SOMEONE ELSE AND HER FORMER FIANCE NEVER DEALT WITH HIS ISSUES AND TOOK IT INTO ANOTHER RELATIONSHIP( IN WHICH THE PRESENT FINACE HAD TO ASK THE FORMER FINACE WHAT TO DO?)GUESS WHAT SHE SAID?
I was just looking through the old post and came across this one. I am trying to bring up some topics that I know would keep us going. So I was wondering what would you ladies do in this situation?

I myself know that I wouldnt go through with the wedding. If he loved me enough to ask me to marry him, then he should love me enough not to cheat. Why should I go through with the wedding. I think that by going along with the wedding it is just telling him that he can do whatever he wants to me and I will just sit there and take it. And who's to say that he will never do it again. I would get out while it was still early.
