"will you be my..." cards

I dont know where you can find them, but what I did was buy some really nice stationary and created letters on my computer. All the girls love them. Hope that helps!

I made my own. I went to Staples and puchased the Avery Greeting Card package, selected a friendship poem, formally asked if they would stand up for me at my ceremony, and printed this picture on the front.
My fiance gave this Print to me for my birthday and all my friends love it.

I have verbally spoken to some of the ladies in my bridal party. But I want to do something really "official" and nice. I will make my own also. I will take a trip to a stationery store or staples to see what they have to offer. Ladies, those of you who made your own, how did it go?

Ronny there are advantages and disadvantaged to making you own card....if you have time and PATIENCE...by all means make your own but if neither of the following applies to you then for goodness sake do not attempt.

Thanks Charlotte. I'll keep that in mind. If only I could find some that are already made that would be nice. Because I am on a budget I felt that having them printed would be too costly. Next year I am moving to another state, I have my daughter's sweet sixteen party, we're getting married and have a honeymoon to pay for, all in the same year -- so you see my dilemma. I am looking for God to show up in my finances and make this thing work for us.

These are wedding themed, blank inside and cheap. Great way to invite your friend toi be a part of your wedding.

I made my own cards for 7 BM and 1 MOH. I found various friendship poems. Most of them I changed a little to fit the person. But, all of the invites say something different. Of course they end with the same question though. So I went to an Art Supply store. I used those envelopes/invites. It looks like an envelope when it's closed but all four sides open out. So the envelope was a chocolate color and the backing paper was green(close to the color for the wedding) and paper that I printed on was a tan color (close to champagne, another wedding color). Sounds more complicated than it was. I printed them myself, and put them together.

Very good Hammy...sounds wonderful and I am sure they enjoyed receiving them and I bet they will have them as keep-sakes.

Once I get the blank invites I will personalize them to fit all of the ladies. Each one of them are special in their own way and I want the cards to actually reflect that. Hampton_S, you go girl -- you sound like a creative sister!

Ronny you sound very creative as well....I am sure yours will look fabulous, enjoy it and I know a lot of love will be put in them.

Babieluvbug site was great.I was on there wanting to order just about everything I saw. I think thats was a great idea to print your invitations with African American art. I love it, I love it, I love it!I am getting so many great ideas from you wonderful ladies.

In regards to my last posting about the African American "will you be my bridesmaid" card, I recently "spoke" to the creator of the cards. She has a store on Ebay where she has lots of other great items. She is willing to personalize each card with the names of your future bridesmaids for only .50 extra. She will also use the color of your choice if you do not see it already on one of her cards. a personalized pack of 8 AFRICAN AMERICAN bridesmaids cards for under $20!!!!!

I got mine from Wedddingstand.com. The dresses on the cards are made of real fabric and there's a cute little bead on the hanger. I'm mailing my cards out this week.

I saw those cards, I was looking for something a little diffrent.

Aija those are nice. My cards are blue with a white wedding dress on the outside and they were blank on the inside and I just wrote individualized messages to each member of my bridal party.

I wish I had known about those cards.Ahh but it is too late now.

That was a classy touch, ajiamarie. I like that you ask with a card that is a step above! We carry cool ones that come with a bride attendant braclet that they wear whenever you have a wedding outing (i.e. a meeting, shopping outing, rehearsal dinner or dress fitting)

We have 3-d ones with real fabric or tiny hangers & wedding dresses too!
