Okay, I know we started a post, asking us what we want our Christmas Lists. But what was the WORST Christmas gift you ever got?
Mine was from my MIL in 2003...she gave me hair barrettes. Even thought she only "knew" me for 5-6 months, I don't wear barretts in my hair! I wear my hair in a comb-down wrap style. To add insult to injuiry, the following year she gave me a collapsable storage box. WTF?

I don't really have a worst Christmas gift, but I will give the worst reation I received for a gift that I gave. The worst reaction came from my MIL when I gave her a $90 sweater. I bought my MIL a $90 designer sweater. She opened it up in front of the entire family and told me it was ugly!!!! Girl I was crushed! I told her to give it back if she didn't like it. She never did. Here's the kicker, she wore it the next day to a holiday party she was invited to. I told my hubby his mom was mean-spirited and wicked. I vowed she would never receive a thing from me, not even a compliment!!!!!
Needless to say, I never bought her another thing and I never went to Christmas at her house again either.

It's on my daughter's teddy bear now!

I can't think of the worst gift I received, but I can tell you the worse time I had...my first husband had an "EVIL" sister that could not stand me (because she thought I took her brother away from her)one Christmas (at MY house mind you) she bought my ex 6 gifts..and gave me NOTHING!! not that I needed anything from the heifer but dang, she was at MY house--she could of bought a sister some socks or sumthin'!!!!!!!!!!

My aunt gave me a leather coat with some of the ugliest fur lining I have ever seen. The cuffs of the sleeves and the collar of the coat were made from this same hideous fur stuff. I gave it to my dog to sleep on and he LOVES it. Seems to love it more than any other pet bed I ever bought him.

I can't remember any sucky gifts, but...I was dating this guy in New Orleans and his mother was the true inspiration for the South Park Kyle's moms a B*#$h song. She has three sons and I was dating the baby boy. The Oldest son got engaged before Christmas which put the heifer in the crankest mood. The middle son, well, she just flat out hated his girlfriend. I always played nice, as in stayed the hell away from her. One Christmas the oldest sons fiance bought her a beautiful dress as a gift. She turned her nose up at it, went in her room, came out a few minutes later and said it was too big for her. Now the chick wore a size 14 the dress was a 14 and for a few months after Christmas the fiance tried to find her a gift that fit. I went to the store with her once, cut the size out of a pant suit, had the sales lady put a size 14 hang tag on it and gave it to her. Of course it fit perfectly, until her baby wanted to move in with me, then it was to big. I took it from her and wore it over to there house the following Sunday for dinner. She asked if it was her suit, I said yep, and it fits me just fine. LOL!!

Hey Dee ...my mother doesn't come to my house much ...and when she does, not in my children's rooms. Plus there are several black holes in my house that snatches up alot of the kids belongings, needless to say, I haven't seen that teddy bear nor that retractable shirt in a long while myself.

My Aunt once gave me a suade button down shirt that was like 10 sizes too big. Not to mention it was doo-doo green, I hated it. Needless to say I hope goodwill put it to good use like wiping down some bathroom stalls or something like that. It was terrible.

Rhony, your MIL was wrong for that. These posts are crazy funny! BTW - for both Christmases I got my MIL a gorgeous bath & body works basket of her favorite scent. Y'all know those things run between $40 -$60. So, I didn't give her awful gifts, but I learned from that day on, to not get her anything, anymore and I insisted that she didn't have to get me anything for Christmas. The items I got from her, I couldn't even consider regifting to someone else.

I don't know what's up with some of these MILs. Don't they know that they sons will grow up and be men one day with wives of their own. If I had a son, I would want him to be happy and would support whatever choice he made for a wife. The problem is my MIL didn't have a man of her own, so she was doing some serious tripping!!!! (Notice I said man of her own. That in and of itself is a whole other story!!!)

Last christmas, my aunt gave me mint green sweater that looks, well, to say awful would be a step up. I looked at her and say "Have you met me? I mean really. Would this look like something I would wear?" She just shrugged and said that she thought it looked nice.
Worst Christmas gift was from an EX it was fuzzzy, furry waist length fur coat. It looked like he had skinned some of New York City's finest squirrel and Rat I was disgusted and scared to wear it but he thought he was really doing something. I guess his intentions were good.

I was in grade 9 and after school I would go to the bank where my mother worked and wait for her. They did the exchanging of gifts as usal and one of the ladies gave another lady and BLACK PANTIES...in The Bahamas we call anything bigger than a thong BLOOMUS....
Could you imagine anyone giving you a pair of black bloomus for Christmas.
She had to be out of her head to do that foolishness...but like I said it was not done to me, cause you'll would've heard about it.

any gift my Godmother gets me is the worst! She always gets me these little girly looking purses with hearts and designs on them, for what! before my daughter I just threw them out but now she plays with them.
Another one is MIL's gift to my daughter...this little tight sleeve coat with some fur at the neck and sleeves. DH saw it when I opened the package and said WTF! lol. she let DH pick the gift for my son and reimbursed, why could we do the same for my daughter...
